Pros: High quality, reasonable price, works great
Other Thoughts: This card is amazing. The GTX700 series is the new hotness, and this is a great card to exemplify it. The cooler works great, and I have not had a single problem playing games at highest resolution.
Only minor problem is the card is huge. On a Gigabyte Z77 motherboard it will cover one PCI-Ex1 spot and be right up against the other if mounted in the PCI-E x16 spot, and it won't fit in any of the others because the length takes it over the SATA ports.
Pros: Sounds Great
Easy to install
7.1 & pcie
Cons: No color coded plugs
Other Thoughts: Card works great, I'm very happy. High quality sound, and I'm getting more complex ambient noise effects in games.
The jacks on the back are all silver, as opposed to my old Audigy ZX which color coded them like the plus from the stereo. More of a pain if I ever have to work on the tower, I have to try to remember what plugs in where.
Pros: Lots of space
Good speed with SATA3
Cons: Acronis True Image WD Edition
Other Thoughts: The harddrive works great, and I feel good having the 5 year warranty. However, when I bought this drive one of the primary benefits was getting that 6gb/s transfer speed so I wanted to set it up as my main drive. WD says in the product description they offer software for cloning the old drive, which seemed perfect.
The software is Acronis True Image WD Edition. This is sadly a variation of Acronis 2009, and hasn't been updated much since then. It refused to clone the drive, swearing that the job was done when nothing had changed. The boot disk it created wouldn't acknowledge that any harddrives were installed. The program wouldn't run at all in safe mode. Western Digital tells you to talk to Acronis support since it's not their software. Acronis tells you they haven't supported that version in years, buy the 2013 version for $50.
Eventually scrapped it completely and got a free cloning software online, which worked the first time and took 45 minutes.
Bottom line, the Harddrive is great, but ignore western digital's software download.
