Pros: Small form factor, stylish case.
Cons: Bought 3. 2 failed in a significant way, within 60 days. The 3rd, runs like garbage and has some disk errors in the log. Most likely the HDD will be failing soon. That will make 3 out of 3 failed within 2-3 months (depending on how long this lasts.
Other Thoughts: I would avoid these machines at all costs. Whoever refurbished them, did a bad job.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z87 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: - VERY solid construction (heavy mobo, feels very solid)
- Easy-to-use bios
- Overclocked my 4770k to 4.8GHz with a single button press.
- Aesthetically pleasing
Cons: -1 egg because the optional assist fans are a bit loud on anything other than the "silent" setting. I had the Asus AI Suite auto adjusting the fans, and when the system was idle, the assist fans would constantly rev between 3k (silent) and 7k (very loud) RPM's.
Instead of having it automated, I set them to the "Silent" setting. They run at around 3k RPM's and you can't hardly hear them.
Other Thoughts: This is the BEST motherboard I've ever owned. I just switched from a Maximus IV Extreme, and I don't see myself ever going back to that line of motherboards. I'm sticking with Sabertooth FOREVER! Basically the same bios and it feels much more solidly built.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: - Easy Overclock to 4.8GHz without batting an eyelash
- Temps are low (Other people report high temps, I got luck)
- Saw vastly improved performance in games vs my 2500k.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I overclocked this CPU to 4.8GHz and ran Prime95 for 24 hours. Using a Corsair H100i to cool it, it ran at around 70C during that test. Runs around 30-34C idle and around 55-60C when gaming.READ FULL REVIEW
