Pros: Handsome. Pretty nice build quality.
Cons: Out of all the years I have owned, used and built computers, this is the only one I have ever owned to have actually exploded, and caught fire. Around 3 years old, with plenty of headroom. A gold rated PSU should never, ever explode.
Other Thoughts: Never buy cheap PSUs, ever. Lesson learned.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fast. Wonderfully fast. Perfect price point for 3D enthusiasts, and people looking to run high workload home servers.
For around 200 dollars per CPU, you could build a blindingly fast home renderfarm on a shoestring budget.
Haven't overclocked it yet, and performance on the server is faster than our last 2600K @ 4.5GHz. Very surprised, very impressed.
This is a tough as nails CPU not built for gamers, but for enthusiasts and heavily multithreaded tasks.
Great, cheap power.
Cons: High power usage. Not even close to cause alarm, just higher than the average right now, pre-overclocking.
Still a "pinned" socket. I prefer the pads on the Intel's.
Other Thoughts: Very pleased with AMD this time around, for the first time in a long time. They have a real contender here. This is a quality, fairly priced product that will last, and shine as more and more software takes advantage of multithreading. If you're a gamer, you might be wise to look elsewhere, however, I somehow doubt you would be disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BitFenix Shinobi Window Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: Features and build quality of a case far, far more expensive.
Absolutely beautiful. Classy hard edges. Minimal looks. Clean.
Spacious, with plenty of room to do whatever you need. Looks like it would happily fit a GTX 590, though I haven't tried.
Satinish, rubberized finish. Its a bit more subtle than full on rubberized. Sits in between a gloss finish and a matte finish. Does a wonderful job compromising with fingerprints.
Top notch cable management.
Very high quality plexi for the window, being noticeably thicker than other cases. Has a very nice, slightly warm smoke tint to it.
Cons: Stock case fans are run of the mill, generic stock case fans. You would do yourself well to purchase several well reviewed fans of your liking when purchasing this case. It will make a phenomenal case shine even brighter. It was exceedingly difficult to come up with something bad to say here. The fans aren't even that bad.
Other Thoughts: This is the nicest case I have ever owned. This case easily outclasses cases that cost well over twice as much as it does. For the price, this case is easily a top pick. Ignoring the price, the case still contends with some of the best cases out there, no matter how you look at it. BitFenix has more than outdone themselves with the thought and the build quality that has gone into this case. They acquired a new diehard fan. I can not stress how wonderful this case was to work on.
DO NOT let the lack of reviews discourage you here. Every tech buddy I've show the build this case belongs to, the case steals the show. Everyone absolutely loves it. It helps that the case is bar far one of the most handsome cases ever made.
