Pros: Solid State Drive and light weight
Cons: Solid State Drive (SSDs are extremely difficult if not impossible to erase, so a refurbished unit means you're getting whatever nasties the previous user may have left on the drive).
Unit was in fair shape cosmetically and should be described as used.
The screen started to mess up two to three days after I started using it.
Other Thoughts: Would return the item; however, 1) Newegg has yet to response to my email, and 2) I have HIPPA stuff on the HD now, which means that I could be fined $50,000 per violation should someone retrieve the medical information.
For $200, I think I'll not risk it.
This review is from: Klipsch Synergy F-10 Premium 6.5" Floor-standing Speaker Single
Pros: Beautiful finish and well constructed
Cons: Average sound quality.
Other Thoughts: I performed a side-by-side comparison of the F-10 with my Klipsch Icon WF-35 and am surprised at the difference in sound quality. Initially I stated that the speakers lack the ability to reproduce music in more than what can be described as a two-dimensional, 'flat' sound. After breaking them in, they have improved, but are mediocre at best and certainly nothing to be excited about. The blasé sound is to be expected in a speaker at this price point, and surprisingly without the typical fatiguing Klipsch shrill.
The F-10 is not well suited for two-channel critical listening, but rather a home theater application coupled with a subwoofer. In that regard, they suffice and look great.
