Pros: They actually run at the advertised timing Heatsink is both functional and cool looking
Cons: none
Overall Review: I'd fallen into a pattern of simply always buying the cheapest RAM that would work in my boards. And those cheap chips, while functional, would NEVER run at their advertised speeds reliably. So this time I splurged the extra $10, despite the protests from my Asian frugality angel, and ... OH ... look at that .. they run at their advertised timing even without fiddling with BIOS settings. Alright, I'm convinced. :)
Well, I got what I paid for
Pros: It works, it's cheap, very thin, and light for its size
Cons: flimsy, unstable stand, stuck pixel right out of the box
Overall Review: Well I saw this big honking monitor for $180, and I just couldn't pass it up. I noticed a few reviews suggesting that the base was unstable, and I just kind of ignored them. But wow were they right. The stand is, in a word, ridiculous. It literally has half the footprint of the stand on the 23" Acer monitor that I upgraded from. Fortunately my desk has a hutch, and I'm able to shove one side of this monitor up against it to stabilize. If it wasn't for that, I'd seriously consider screwing it down to the desk. It really is that unstable. minus one egg And again like other reviews mentioned, it does bleed a bit. This wasn't such a big deal though. I adjusted the brightness and contrast down to sane levels, and that took care of 80%ish of the light bleed. Still though, when I look over to my right again at the Acer monitor it replaced (now hooked up to a media rig) I see its black black blackity blacks. I look at this thing and I see [Batman voice] very dark shades of gray [/Batman voice]. minus half an egg So that leaves me with 3.5 eggs rounded to 4. except I see a stuck pixel. minus another half egg So, yep, I got what I paid for. I don't really like leaving 3 eggs for a product that is functioning (more or less) correctly and withing design parameters. But it is what it is. I don't think I'd buy this monitor again. In retrospect, I wish I'd paid the $50 more for another Acer. >_<
Perfect!
Overall Review: Laptop was MUCH better than I expected. It looks brand new. And the HD is larger than advertised.
How can they sell this for so little?
Pros: This was such a good deal that I was a little skeptical. The CPU and OS alone would've cost me more than double what I paid for this refurb. But it was exactly as described and everything works perfectly. I couldn't be happier.
Cons: None
Currently the best value on the market
Pros: - Cheap - Great performance for the money - It's not an ATI card so the drivers won't be full of bugs
Cons: - Freaking HUGE, seriously measure your case and make sure you have the room. I had to relocate a drive and move one of my mobo's SATA connectors to a different slot just to make room for this monstrosity
Overall Review: - Runs Street Fighter 5 and Witcher 3 at maxed out settings
it works
Pros: works fine, started up on first try BIOS actually has a mouse-driven UI and is VERY tweakable
Cons: could've used a couple more case standoffs You have to be very careful plugging in the main power harness as there is no support anywhere near it. I'd recommend plugging that in before installing the board in your case.
Overall Review: I used this board in a new system with an FX-8320, GTX 650 Ti, and 8 gigs of G.Skill RAM. It's been on for 3 days straight now and hasn't missed a beat.
