This review is from: Vizio SB4051- C0 40-inch 5.1 Channel Sound Bar with Bluetooth
Pros: -small and sleek, I replaced my early 90's Onkyo entertainment system and saved a TON of room.
-wireless from the bar to the woofer, where the rear speakers plug into so there aren't wires from the front to the back.
-decent range of manipulating levels for bass, treble, woofer, rear speakers, center speaker, night mode, level normalizing...
-many options for input from other devices
-plug and play! Took maybe 30 minutes to unpackage, plug in, do basic set up.
-comes with all the audio cables you could want to use.
-comes with mounting brackets for rear speakers and front bar.
-The sound has nice crisp highs to impressive lows from the front speakers alone. The woofer can output a low support up to an overwhelming throb depending on how you like it.
-Overall very small footprint
Cons: -rear speakers aren't wireless... why can't there be more systems with completely wireless sound? Most of my in depth set up time was in hiding wires.
-took a lot of time getting the setup JUST right - but I would have done this with ANY system.
-It would be nice to have a couple programmable presets for movies/tv/games/music/music types?
-full band equalizer would be awesome - but that's just cause I'm a sound fanatic.
Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this sound system. It sounds fantastic for movies, music, and games - I've watched Age of Ultron, Played Halo, and listened to some random songs while setting it up.
I recommend these to anyone wanting to get a smaller footprint in their entertainment room, but I suggest searching for the better price. I see there are some pretty wild differences in prices online right now.
This review is from: Corsair Obsidian 750D Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Pros: -The 750D is bigger than other full towers I've previously owned, slightly wider, a bit taller. The feet on the four corners raise the case up about an inch for psu air breathability.
-The removeable ssd brackets give me the choice to use it or lose it.
-two hdd racks (3 bays each) can be used in a variety of positions in the case or can be removed completely.
-5.25 bays are very easy to use - no screws needed.
-The black aluminum face is very sharp, modern, and professional.
-Plenty of space in this case for big air upgrades and/or custom water cooling applications.
-The case is very sturdy and does not flex or bend while putting pressure on anything (while installing a new card in a tight slot for example).
-Superior cable management makes it easy to hide all those cables and open up the case for better airflow and an overall excellent view of the components.
-air filters over the main fan areas.
Cons: -I wish there was a possible option for easy running a second psu.
-If the 5.25 bays could be positioned elsewhere.
-The main power rail for the motherboard is pretty fat, so putting that side cover back on required a little pressure to smash everything down (but the cover doesn't bulge, so it's not a big worry).
-The bottom front fan wire isn't long enough to reach my motherboard if I use the cable management system to hide it, but this is a 'fan it came with' problem - not the case per-se.
Other Thoughts: I have a second psu custom mounted in the bottom front of the case so I have a dedicated separate psu for auxiliary systems (water cooling and lights). I cut most of the wires off, but left the 'power switch' wires and 2 rails for auxiliary systems. The power wires are connected to a tiny 2 way switch that I have fixed in the center bottom. It looks really nice there, but it would have been easier if there was a small port somewhere dedicated for running a custom wire out around those front fans.
As thin as the top and bottom mesh plates are, they are incredibly strong. I am well impressed with this case. Not one bit disappointed!
This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
Pros: Price is more than reasonable with a rebate.
I love the Corsair brand - they have been nothing short of amazing, reliable, and quality performance.
I never worry when I get Corsair parts.
Other Thoughts: This was purchased to replace the stock Dell PSU for a work computer. This more than handles the Radeon 290 upgrade we added and has added system stability. No more freezing!READ FULL REVIEW
