This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: i5 4690k hit 73C at full load at stock speeds with the included heatsink, this dropped that temp down to 50C. Allowed me to overclock to 4.2 GHz with a max temp of 62C. Can OC higher but don't want to push it too much.
Cons: Included directions suck. Look up others on youtube installing the heatsink if you need help.
Other Thoughts: Comes within 1mm of touching my RAM and barely fits in my Rosewill Challenger case but works great.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASRock Z97 Extreme6 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: I had absolutely no idea how to overclock my i5 4690k and just hit the optimized OC settings in the BIOS for this motherboard and hit 4.6 GHz no problem. Backed it down to 4.2 GHz to keep temps down and am topping out at 62C with a Hyper 212 EVO cooler.
Cons: Fan header #1 forces the fan to always run at 100%, I ended up getting a cheap fan controller to remedy that.
Other Thoughts: Great overclocking board, but I wish all of my fan headers worked. Not worth the RMA for 1 header though.

EVGA Supernova 850 G2 PSU
Pros: Fast even without overclocking. But who buys this processor without overclocking it? Slightly OCed it to 4.2 GHz and it tops out around 63C with a Hyper 212 EVO cooler. Idles at 800MHz and about 28C. My Asrock Z97 Extreme6 is the easiest board I have ever overclocked
Cons: Stock fan is almost pointless. They shouldn't even bother shipping it with this processor. Temperatures on full load at stock speeds dropped from 72C to 50C with a Hyper 212 EVO cooler. I actually ended up putting the heatsink on my old i3 2120 and it keeps that under 50C with pretty much no airflow.
Other Thoughts: This processor booted up at the optimized 4.6 GHz OC for my motherboard but was hitting 80C during Intel Burn Test which is a little too high for me. Maybe I can bump up the OC during the Winter. Paired this processor with a GTX 970 and I am playing every game I own at max on my 1080p 42" TV.READ FULL REVIEW
