StarTech EPS8EXT 8
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs Works Great and Cheap! 04/06/2013

This review is from: StarTech EPS8EXT 8" EPS 8 Pin Power Extension Cable

Pros: Basic CPU power extention cable. It works as described is high quality and low cost. Good for those with a tall case and not wanting to try to find a power supply with extra long cables.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped it fast and it didn't cost much. I needed this when upgrading my system with a motherboard that only uses a 4 pin CPU power connector. I also have the StarTech 8 pin extension from my last motherboard.

EVGA SSC 02G-P4-3653-KR GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Small size not bulky, runs cool, can handle latest games. This card is pretty nice. Very good build quality from EVGA. Lower power consumption but does require a decent quality power supply. Runs quiet.

Cons: The 650 ti boost is out and kind of made this a lower end card already but this is still an awesome video card.

Other Thoughts: I have mine in a pretty big Antec P280 case. I've been using it to play Portal 2 and the graphics look great. I replaced a GTX 260 with this smaller more power efficient and more up to date video card. It's still worth buying.

BIOSTAR H77MU3 LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs A Great Board with What's needed 03/25/2013

This review is from: BIOSTAR H77MU3 LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great quality basic motherboard. Nothing real fancy but also well built. It has pretty much everything anyone would need for a good mainstream PC build. UEFI bios Windows 8 ready.

Cons: The bios is UEFI for Windows 8 but can be a little complex. If you know the basic settings of a motherboard bios it shouldn't be a problem though. You don't have to make any adjustments to things that you don't understand. UEFI bootup can be enabled in the bios for Windows 8.

Other Thoughts: I got it from somewhere else but noticed Newegg runs sales for it too. I'm using it with a Sandy Bridge i7 2600S and Hynix ram an EVGA 650ti, Creative SoundBlaster Recon, Zalman heatsink fan, Antec P280 case (which is pretty big for such a small motherboard but works great), older Antec Earthwatts 500 (made by Seasonic) power supply.
