G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL

Pros: - None. Ram failed.

Cons: - One of my two sticks was causing me bluescreens

Other Thoughts: Verified I had a bad stick causing my machine to bluescreen randomly with memtest (failed horribly with tons of errors as soon as the test began). I'm surprised this made it through quality control. Pretty dissapointed and will not be buying G.SKILL for a while.

4 out of 5 eggs Not practical for air cooled multi graphics cards 01/27/2014

This review is from: ASUS Z87-WS LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: - Great quality, feels sturdy
- No issues to report, worked great out of the box
- Lots of features, tons of room for expansion

Cons: - The PCI Express slots are too close together to fit many dual slot cards at all.. and the ones that do fit are too close together for any reasonable cooling performance

Other Thoughts: If you're going to do dual slot cards, make sure that they do not have a backplate that sticks out too much, otherwise they simply will not fit at all. Even if you can get dual slot cards in here, just be sure they are water cooled. It's impossible to cool them on air effectively. Single slot cards would perform much better on air here.

HIS iPower IceQ X² Boost Clock H280XQM3G2M Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: - Relative to the 290x, it's pretty cool (hottest it gets in crossfire is 78c)
- Not annoyingly loud. Definitely quieter than a blower fan
- 700kh/s right out of the box
- Runs games great

Cons: - Fans can rattle a bit. I ordered 3 of these cards and 2 of them had small rattles that eventually went away.
- Fins are VERY delicate and easily bend
- This card is incredibly long. Just make sure you do you research before buying. Fits in my Coolermaster HAF XB Evo without any issues
- These cards offgas a bit at first*

Other Thoughts: *To clarify, when you first use most cards, they tend to create that new electronic equipment smell for a little while. Out of the 3 I ordered, I had one that ran about 10c hotter under identical conditions than the other 2 and, as a result I suppose, had a much stronger smell. The smell drove me nuts (I imagine this was because the card was overheating getting up to 90c), and the temp difference was just not acceptable, so I had to RMA it. Knocked off an egg for that.
