This review is from: USB to PS/2 (Keyboard & Mouse) Adapter
Pros: Just works, immediately, no drivers or problems at all.
I've used it with several machines so far including H81, x79 and H97 platforms, and a Surface Pro 3.
Cons: none at this time.
Other Thoughts: My cable did allow me to use my keyboard in bios although seeing as someone else had an issue with it, this may be motherboard/keyboard dependent.
Using mine with a 1987 IBM Model M
Pros: Great low profile fan for the price. When compared to the Silverstone AR04 it's just as thin but with a proper back plate instead of the snap in clips that the Intel coolers typically use.
Cheaper than the comparable AR04.
Lower range of fan speeds compared to the AR04 as well which, to me, was a bonus for noise performance; it's relatively quiet until you hit the 2000rpm range. At which point it's audible but not annoying.
Very easy installation, just be aware the back plate must be installed in a specific direction, it is not symmetrical.
Cons: I have heard quieter fans but this was quiet enough not to warrant a star off.
No guides for the fan cable on something this slim is asking for trouble. Be careful with your wiring path.
Other Thoughts: Used as a substitute for the Silverstone AR04 to pair with a Silverstone PT13B thin-miniITX case. Paired to a Pentium G3250.
Note of caution, the back-plate does add some girth and in these thin cases even the standoffs aren't so tall. This was touching the case and made installation extremely tight. Worked great though.
Hot summer day burn in test this setup reached a max temp of 66C which is hot but not dangerous. Perfectly acceptable for a 100% load for several hours in a user machine that will mostly be used for docs/net.
This review is from: NORCO RPC-231 Black 2U Rackmount Server Chassis 2 External 5.25" Drive Bays
Pros: Solid construction
Plenty of space
No frills but the case does its job just fine.
Cons: Replacing the fans is a tremendous pain, I've never had to undo so many screws just to get at some fans. Plus the fans are junk. They work but they're loud and within a few months they started making grinding noises.
The description is incorrect regarding the fans. THEY ARE NOT 40mm FANS!!! I read everything and ordered some 40mm fans to replace the 3 in the case and when I opened it up I was surprised to find 50mm fans.
Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor and replace the fans when you build for the first time, they're a pain to replace. Furthermore, mine came with 50mm fans. I don't want to tell you to default to that in case there are multiple models of this case out there but you might want to wait until you open yours up before you order.READ FULL REVIEW
