This review is from: Watch Dogs PS4 Game
Pros: The story has some potential.
Cons: Don't waste your money on this game. Maybe wait until is on sale but it's not worth sixty bucks for sure. The graphics are mediocre at best, the animation just doesn't seem real, side swiping cars creates something that looks like fireworks. Bullet hits suck, the physics effects are terrible, the story has some potential but it progresses slowly even though this is a fairly short game. The hacking seems unnecessary, ctOS seems to be written by Adobe and has vulnerabilities that are never getting patched. Criminals are openly discussing crimes in a city that's completely "wired" and monitored 24/7. I was not able to get "into" the game and did not even finish it.
Other Thoughts: Maybe I expected too much with the new PS4 and the so called next gen game. GTA V is a better game in every possible way. Los Santos seems way more realistic than Chicago.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Perfect size, feels well built, white color looks classy, has a premium feel to it. Vivid colors, snappy most of the time.
Cons: The only reason I'm returning this is horrible backlight bleed. At full brightness it's OK but I like to dim it down quite a bit when using it in my dark bedroom and I can actually count 7 light sources from the bottom of the screen in portrait mode when brightness is way down..
The Optimus UI is a mess. Feels like a Touchwiz clone so no surprise there. I was able to turn some features off but not nearly enough options you can change to customize the UI to try to get that Android stock feeling.
Occasional lag. Noticed it when scrolling through Play Store for example. Nexus 7 feels faster most of the time. Reading the specs I have no idea why this tablet would be laggy compared to Nexus 7 2013 edition.
Other Thoughts: Got it for $100 off retail price, otherwise overpriced. I have a Nexus 7 2013 edition and I love it, I have no issues with lag or with backlight bleed. After running stock Android and getting used to timely updates I don't think I will try another non-google tablet. I just wish google would make a Nexus 8. I also don't understand why companies need to 'fix' something that's not broken. They should give us a choice between stock and third party UIs.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
Pros: fast boot time, stable, built in malware protection
Cons: UI makes all pros a moot point. The core of Win 8 is utterly obliterated by a digital abomination called Windows Tiles aka Metro. It amazes me how so many highly paid talented people come up with this mess? Was there any feedback from any test users? Did they even care what people thought? Was there any testing done?
Other Thoughts: I have no problems with change if the change is for the better. The fact is Windows 8 is not easier to use compared to Windows 7. Gestures and bars are not intuitive and it would interrupt my activity. The Store is overpriced and with few apps and ever fewer worth mentioning. Also apps are overpriced, Angry Birds Star Wars is $3.49 and $2.99 at Google play, Ninja Fruit is $1.99 and $0.99 at Google Play store and so on.
I already own an Android tablet and an Android phone. I wanted a functional desktop OS and Windows 8 is not it. I strongly recommend Start8 because only after installing this software I was able to get any work done.
