AWESOME!

EVGA 03G-P4-3668-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 Ti FTW+ 3GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 03G-P4-3668-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 Ti FTW+ 3GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: I bought this because my entry level 650 couldn't keep up on those epic Starcraft II battles (you know, the level where you are having a Protoss flashback and are annihilated by the Zerg). Once I swapped this in I have never had even the slightest hiccup from the most graphically intensive games. I run everything on the highest settings and this can handle anything I throw at it.

Cons: It's the most expensive 650 out there, but it's also the best (or at least it was when I bought it 6 months ago).

Overall Review: I have a 3rd gen i5 with 16 GB of RAM and SSDs. According to benchmarking software my processor is my bottleneck at this point. This card even looks sweet, it makes me sad that my case is under my desk so I don't get to look at it all the time...

Most Critical Review

Awesome until it quit working.

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDCR240GB
Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDCR240GB

Pros: Put it in my gaming PC and it would boot up windows in about 10 seconds. Programs were instantly available. The specs are right up there with the Samsungs and OCZs that cost significantly more. I absolutely loved it.

Cons: It's been about 5 months after I bought it and it has quit working. The computer I have it in is a gaming PC and I primarily use my laptop for day to day work, so I use the desktop a few times a week. Two weeks ago I turned the computer on and it couldn't find a bootable disk. I went into BIOS and it did not see the drive. I restarted the computer, went into BIOS and the drive was there... weird. Yesterday I started my computer and no bootable drive was found. I restarted and still no drive. I swapped cables, ports, etc and no drive. I put it in another computer, no drive. I'm pretty sure it's dead.

Overall Review: I have requested an RMA and am well within the three year limited warranty span so hopefully I get a replacement that is more reliable. I have two other Mushkin SSDs as well - a 60 GB asynchronous Chronos that holds my VMs on that same desktop and a 120 GB Chronos Deluxe that is in my laptop. The laptop is used every day and I have yet to experience any hard drive problems with it, so maybe the Deluxe models are more resilient. I would characterize my hard drive usage on the model that failed as extremely low, since I only have the OS and progams/games on it - all my other data is stored on a network drive, so the writes should be very minimal on the SSD. It should not have failed. I will revisit this rating depending on my experience with the RMA process.

Excellent

BUFFALO LinkStation Live 3 TB Network Attached Storage (NAS) - LS-X3.0TL
BUFFALO LinkStation Live 3 TB Network Attached Storage (NAS) - LS-X3.0TL

Pros: Easy to setup. Great value. Excellent speed for the price. Works well for backups and distributing files between multiple computers.

Cons: Tries to install software that you don't need. Like any network device, you will be limited by the speed of your network. If you are trying to backup your entire media collection over b/g wireless, watching Netflix, and playing a game on Xbox Live it's going to be slow.

Overall Review: You're getting a 3TB drive plus a built in NAS for about the price of a 3TB drive, so keep that in mind as you pile on expectations. I have this plugged directly into my wireless router (dual band N, gigabit ethernet ports) using an ethernet cable. On my desktop (1 Gbps wired) it is much quicker than on my laptop (theoretical 300 + 300 Mbps wireless, shared with other laptop, cell phones, Xbox, TV, etc), but I wouldn't consider it slow on either. Of course a USB 3.0 drive will be quicker, that's simple math (5 Gbps > 1 Gbps). It's not upgradable so I may upgrade to a terastation in the future to take advantage of RAID.

Great Performer!

SONY Laptop VAIO F Series Intel Core i7-2670QM 6GB Memory 640GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 16.4" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit VPCF237FX/B

Pros: This computer can handle everything I've thrown at it. I'm not much of a gamer, but this computer handles multiple applications with ease. I have had it running two virtual machines with a quarter of my resources dedicated to each and it didn't bog down. The screen is bright and vibrant, and the sound is amazing - this is the loudest laptop I have ever owned. I love the backlit keyboard as well. Windows Experience Index; Processor - 7.5, RAM - 7.6, Graphics - 6.6, Gaming - 6.6, Hard Disk - 5.9.

Cons: My only complaint is that the chassis is made of plastic which is kinda flimsy and pretty easily scratched. Others online have complained about the weight and heat generated, the size of the power adapter, and the fact that the fan can get loud. My belief is that these are all things you know you are getting into when you buy a desktop replacement laptop. I think it's a fair tradeoff.

Overall Review: I purchased this as a desktop replacement. I use it mostly to surf the internet, run virtual machines, and run productivity software. It excels at these purposes, and has a great screen, blu-ray burner, and awesome speakers to boot. The original MSRP was a little high, but the price it is available for now is a steal. The only change I am making is swapping the 2gb for 4gb of ram, to bring the total to 8gb.
