Pros: Touch screen works well, great Newegg price.
Cons: MSR failed after 2 months of use. Contacted the manufacturer to file warranty claim. Have been going round and round for nearly a month trying to get a shipping label to get a repair/replacement with no success.
Manufacturer does not stock parts for this model.
Called tech support, the support person insisted it was a driver problem. There was a pretty significant language barrier as I tried to explain what was wrong. Credit cards would not slide through the card reader. Tech support kept insisting that it was a driver problem. After over an hour on the phone going round and round installing the SAME driver over and over (that was previously installed 2 months prior and was working fine), the light finally went on after we reinstalled it a 3rd time and were asked to swipe a card. We explained that the card would not pass through the reader because a spring broke and it was blocking the path. He FINALLY transferred me to the warranty department.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a good point of sale touchscreen with built in MSR, don't buy this! There are no indicator lights on the MSR to identify when things are functioning. You are completely blind to everything that goes on. You just need to assume it is connected and running.
- The quality is poor
- The manufacturer does not stock parts.
- Communicating with tech support staff is a challenge.
- Tech support works off a triage list and makes you do all kinds of things that are totally unrelated to the issues you report.
Failed after 2 months of use. It has been several weeks trying to get a repair and am still unable to send the product in. I received confirmation about the warranty. The problem is that Tatung has not provided a warranty claim address.
If you intend to use this for business purposes and expect to rely on this product, make sure you buy a back up USB MSR. This is NOT a quality product. If it fails, you are dead for a VERY LONG TIME. The warranty/support process is long, painful, and appears to be deliberately impossible.
RUN!!!! Don't look back. Save yourself grief.
This review is from: EPSON C31CD52062 TM-T20II ReadyPrint Thermal Receipt Printer
Pros: Good Newegg price for a quality printer. Energy star compliant, quiet, and works flawlessly. Epson has always made durable products for heavy commercial use. We have been using/abusing them for years without complaint. Out of the box set up was simple and quick. Would definitely recommend this printer to anyone that needs a mid level business receipt printer.
Cons: Not really anything to complain about so far. Works as it should.
Other Thoughts: Great little receipt printer. Have used the prior model for our business and am not able to get it any longer... Has always been durable, and quick to set up.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Bright, thin, light weight. No dead pixels. Good price for a 23" monitor. Newegg's fast shipping and quick transaction.
Cons: Viewing angle is not that great, no vesa mounts, external power supply.
Other Thoughts: Base was difficult to attach. Did not want to lock in at first. I would recommend spending a few bucks more for something better.READ FULL REVIEW
