This review is from: Rosewill RCDC-14031 10 ft. White Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 32AWG cable M-M
Pros: Got this cable to pass through audio from a GPU display port to a display with speakers but only an hdmi input.
The cable transmits the video and audio perfectly.
It has great length and looks nice as well.
It is very helpful to have different color cables as I have three monitors and knowing which cable goes where can be cumbersome considering all of the others cables I have running from my machine.
Other Thoughts: cable shipped fast
significatnly cheaper than if I had bought it from a big box store. They usually charge around $40
normal solid rosewill quality
I wish everyone would just switch to display port. It is clearly the superior standard at this point.
Pros: mhl, good inputs, great looks, thin, thin bezel, nice cable accessories,
Cons: I have bought FIVE ... YES FIVE! Here are my experiences.
bad quality control, inconsistent panel manufacturing, bad stand, so so speakers, dim backlight, backlight bleed.
Monitor 1 worked fine but has a strong red shift
Monitor 2 worked but had a mass of dead pixels mid screen
Monitor 3 had a bad led backlight. The screen was completely dark.
Monitor 4 never made it to my house as it was destroyed in shipping
Monitor 5 worked but had a strong blue shift
Other Thoughts: I bought the first monitor and liked it enough to want to complete my eyefinity setup with another. I really got myself into a nightmare with this monitor, its manufacturing, and newegg's shipping practices. The monitors, in imo are not manufactured consistently enough for an eyefinity setup as the colors are basically impossible to match. Ideally, you would buy 3 monitors of the same model set them all to the same settings and have the same color on all the monitors. This is simply not possible here as the QC for these monitors is low.
These monitors also are not fit for creative work as they dont have a clue as to what WHITE is.
In all, they work. They have decent response time for gaming. But are just not made well. They are probably the cheapest ips monitors on the market and you get what you pay for. My TN panel has better colors.
Newegg worked with me well, and gave me substantial discounts on these monitors that made my pain more manageable. They even gave me a $50 discount and free next day shipping on the last one. In all, it took me three weeks to get my last monitor.
Pros: I wanted an hdmi splitter that could also switch between sources.
I found one!
The price is good.
It has sturdy metal contruction.
Sturdy hdmi ports.
Small form factornice layout
well made mechanical switch button
This is pretty amazing for the price really. Most switchers in this price range dont give you half the functionality.
Cons: Does not switch seamlessly.
I guess this would be asking a bit too much to have a $30 switcher make a switch without breaking sync, but there is reasonable delay when hitting the button.
Its not deal breaking, but it is not for professional use ... obviously.
Other Thoughts: I will be using this for streams on twitch to switch between two sources so it does not NEED to be seamless.
Functionality above this will cost you WAYYYYY more money!
