Pros: More than enough room. Probably the best case I have worked with. The big selling point is the huge number of options you have regarding cooling and drive bays. The fans are very quiet and move plenty of air, even set to low.
Cons: No real cons, but to be very picky, it could use a few more spots to tie your cables to.
Other Thoughts: Big case, but not as heavy as some I have worked with, which I like. I did not purchase this but helped someone pick it out for their build as well as install all of the parts for them. Again, probably the best case I have worked with over the years. I'll most likely use one of these in my next build.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very fast - a big upgrade from my old Phenom II X3.
Runs fairly cool with the stock heatsink/fan (not overclocked). Idle temps are around 32 Celsius, under load it creeps into the low to mid 40s. This is in a case with not so great airflow.
The stock fan is quieter than others I have had in the past - can barely hear it with the case open and not at all with it closed.
Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong here. Probably the best bang for your buck out there right now.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Very solidly built. Very heavy and sturdy. Looks great.
Worked right out of the box with no issues - just had to install drivers.
Recognized my RAM and had it running at the proper frequency.
The BIOS is nice and easy to get around in. - the board was delivered as rev. 4, so I didn't have to update it.
No heat issues from what I have seen so far. Runs nice and cool.
It looks like Gigabyte addressed whatever issues others were having with earlier revisions. Not seeing any of those problems here.
Cons: Nothing warranted taking any eggs off and do not effect how this motherboard works - see other thoughts for a few things that could be a little better:
Other Thoughts: I/O shield is a bit off, but everything plugs in fine, so not a big deal.
I already had a bunch of screws, etc., but they really should include those.
If you have a giant video card, plug in your SATA cables before you install it. Kind of a pain to plug them in with a big video card already in there.
Paired with an AMD FX-6300, things are running great.
