This review is from: Rosewill RNX-AC1200UBE, Dual Band Wireless AC1200 Wi-Fi Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11AC IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, Up to 867Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, USB3.0 Interface
Cons: Have the ASUS RT-AC66U and everytime trying to connect to the 5G AC band it will connect for 1 second and drop all signal. Updated drivers from website, still same issue. Going to RMA this and go with another AC adapter.
Other Thoughts: This did connect to 5G and 2.4G using N standard since I also have the Linksys EA4500-NP. But I brought this so I can upgrade my network to AC standard.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 8 Drive Capacity
Many Raid Level
Quiet on low fan setting
Cons: Little to no Documentation
Instruction references steps that doesn't exists
Other Thoughts: My last review was pretty negative, where I couldn't find any help or documentation on the website. I finally follow the leads of one of the review and looked into their forum section. Found a firmware update, and updated both controllers. Now I am getting a steady 60 - 70Mb write speed. Disregard the forum thread that says firmware update for raid 50 only. I am using raid 5, and I took a change to see if performance would be better since I was getting topped out at 8Mb write. And sure enough the firmware did fix the major issue.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: EnGenius ERB9250 IEEE802.11b/g/n Wireless-N300 Smart Repeater
Pros: Cheapest solution
Cons: Very similar to other's experience. Once the repeater is setup, you can't get to the control panel anymore.
I had success in configuring the repeater, but after 2 or 3 days of use, connections to the repeater shows no internet access. Only solution around the problem is to unplug it and plug it back in.
Other Thoughts: The antenna is a bit small but the signal strength is pretty strong compare to what I had before. But needing to unplug the device and plug it back in ever few days, or during a middle of a netflix streaming movie is more than enough for me to think of another solution. I am tempted to call tech support, but since the loosing connection is spuradic, dont really know when to call tech support and all they are going to say is let reset or unplug the device and see if it works. Well yes, but I dont want to do this every now and then. You didn't buy a device that suppose to work occasionally.READ FULL REVIEW
