Pros: all connections worked as expected and were recognized by my computer instantly.
Cons: today (after not even 2 months of use) i removed one of my usb cords and the little plastic bit in the middle of the usb connector came loose....shortly thereafter, it began smoking and the cord connected to my power supply proceeded to melt....may i say more?
Other Thoughts: worked great for the short time i used it, otherwise isn't made very well apparently.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Upgraded from Phenom II x4 955. Better FPS, better load times, better multi-tasking....overclocked to 4.0ghz (just boosted with multiplier, no tweaking yet) scored 6.87 on cinebench 11.5. also a plus, my MSI 890GXM-G65 motherboard supports the piledrivers with the latest bios 1.12. couldn't be happier right now.
Cons: with my air cooler (evercool z-axis titan fenrir) i can't overclock it as far as i would like, but that's not really the processors fault.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: EVERCOOL TTC-NK85TZ/V2(RB) 120mm Z-AXIS Titan Fenrir CPU Cooler
Pros: I run an AMD Phenom II x4 955 OC'd to 3.8ghz (240mhz x 16/HT @ 2400mhz...MSI 890GXM-G65 motherboard, G.Skill 1600mhz ddr3 ram CL9) and I idle at 26c using the Antec Nano-Diamond Formula 7 thermal compound. Never reach temps over 50c (and thats pushing it with prime 95). Overall I'm very satisfied with this cooler.
Cons: I bought this cooler on an open box discount...Had bent fins and a couple of screws missing, but I had spare screws and a pair of pliers handy to fix that. Won't be docking an egg because I knew what i was buying with an Open Box Product.READ FULL REVIEW
