This review is from: Obihai OBi200 VoIP Telephone Adapter with Google Voice & SIP
Pros: Does what I need it to do. I have this unit in my kitchen connected through the Wi-Fi dongle. I don't have any echoing, no delay, and the people i talk to say I sound fine.
Cons: Can be a little tricky to set up, especially with the Wi-Fi dongle. (See my Wi-Fi dongle review for more on that)
Other Thoughts: Pays for itself over time when used with Google Voice.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Obihai OBIWIFI Wireless Adapter for OBi202
Pros: As stated in my title this also works with the OBi200. It didn't "take" initially so i did a few things including manually upgrading the firmware to my Obi at http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0 .
Works great, calls are crystal clear, and I'm happy I'm not tied down with my main home phone connection location.
Cons: It took a bit of time and effort (maybe about an hour to figure it all out) to get it to get it to work with the Obi200, but I expected that so I'm not taking off an egg.
Instructions are also at http://www.obihai.com/wifi if/when you "fix" the dongle with the Obi200.
Other Thoughts: This apparently also works with some TVs and is half the price of some TV supported Wi-Fi dongles?READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I was honestly surprised at the quality of this mobo.
Has all the connections i need, with some fancy foo foo software.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: The mobo feels surprisingly rugged and I'm a little ashamed to say why... but here goes.
To preface; I was a bit distracted during assembly, and in complete zombie mode having done countless builds already. A.K.A. complete "derp" moment.
This particular PC (my OCed gaming rig) has one of those cases that have 8 fans in it not counting the cpu or gfx. (as you could imagine... lots of fan wires.)
I had plugged in a live wire from the PSU into a Mobo fan connection.. ...Needless to say, there was smoke when i flipped the switch. I figured I fried my board (and more) for the first time ever like a newb.
It got so hot one of the pins came out of the board BUT, after some cursing and head shaking at my mistake it started right up. Granted, i can't use that particular connection on the mobo anymore, but that's what fan splitter cables are for.
