This review is from: MEElectronics M6-CL 3.5mm Connector Canal Headphone
Pros: I put these earbuds through hundreds of miles of running and sweat and after about 2 years they are finally dying.
Amazing sound quality!
Has great bass and sound (assuming you use the canal inserts that best seal inside your ear). Also doesn't let the sound escape.
The retention wire that wraps the buds around your ears works extremely well coupled with the strain relief clip on the cord.
Cons: Only worth the purchase price if you get them on sale.
About 1.5 years into owning them the plastic retainer clip broke, leaving me to use a binder clip for strain relief.
The left ear bud has attenuated itself so the sound is lopsided. Granted both buds are rusted inside and have seen ridiculous exposure to sweat moisture and the environment.
You'll need to scrape your earwax out of the rubber ear seals after every run. Best to wait till it hardens. Gross I know but just part of it.
Other Thoughts: I'm a runner and was looking for a decently priced set of ear buds with great sound quality that wouldn't keep falling out of my ears. When these are %60 off, they are an amazing deal and well worth the price. I would not purchase these or any ear bud for what these cost originally, that's just too much for something so small and electronically simple.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: (I now own a pair of Astro A40's with amp so the review will mention the two)
-Very light, does not hurt my head like the Astro A40's.
-Great sound quality. Clear and crisp highs and mids. Comparable to the A40's.
-I LOVE the mic monitoring (hearing your own voice in the headset so you're not shouting).
-Battery life is decent.
Cons: -Ear cups are a little too shallow for my big ears and tend to hurt after an hour or so.
-Bass is very shallow and not very deep. This is 1 area where the Astros beat this TB headset.
-Bluetooth only mic (unless using on XBOX, then it's wired to your controller). If using on PC a cheap dongle will suffice, but it adds to the cost of the headset.
Other Thoughts: BE AWARE that any 7.1 or 5.1 or any surround sound headphones will only be as good as your sound card if using on your PC. This was my first foray into the audio quality world and I learned this the hard way. Quality headsets like this NEED an optical port for one, otherwise you're wasting your money listening to analog with such an expensive headset. The Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro II is an easy fix for this, however it only gives expanded stereo, not surround sound. You'll need a sound card with Dolby Digital Live to truly appreciate these or any surround sound headphones on the PC.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Max Payne 3 for Xbox 360
Pros: I'm from the old school mentality that games should be more about a compelling story that takes you places emotionally than flashy graphics. With that being said, Max Payne 3 is one of the best games I've played in a long time. Period. It oozes with story. The voice actors are fantastic which is a Rockstar trademark. The gameplay is exciting, and just keeps the game fun while you progress through this film noir. The graphics are also pretty. Max no longer has a permanent scowl.
Cons: There are bugs. The game froze on me on a few occasions, or trapped me so that I couldn't move and I had to reset the game. I'm sure more of those things are fixed now. The game was so good these things didn't hurt the egg rating for me.
Other Thoughts: Diablo 3 and MP3 came out the same day. I made the mistake of buying Diablo 3, which was terrible. The first day I fired up D3, I went ahead and just ordered MP3 and never looked back.READ FULL REVIEW
