This review is from: ASUS RT-AC66R Dual-Band Wireless-AC1750 Gigabit Router –Asus Certified.
Pros: Its fast and has great coverage. A few of the newer firmwares are not reliable though. The older one that came with it worked better for me. But I got the latest firmware and its been stable. The user interface is super easy to use. Took maybe 5 min after I opened it until all the computers in the house were connected. Plus you can set up ASUS cloud which is like your own dropbox.
Cons: None so far.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Sturdy, very fast processor, and plenty of ram. Got a very good deal at $550, but maybe it wasn't worth saving the money.
Cons: Yes, I bought it refurbished, but I feel that's no excuse. It took 8 days to get to me and when I turned it on, the screen was completely blank. No back-light, nothing. Makes me wonder if ASUS even has inspection for their refurbished items before sending them out. I will "potentially" have this laptop working 3 weeks after I purchased it and after numerous hassles. College can be tough with no computer of your own.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield Quad-Core 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor BX80562Q6600
Pros: I got this cpu when I made my first build as a young teenager about 6 years ago. I have a the G0 version (but unfortunately have a high vid). Since 2007, its been overclocked and under-clocked and had all kinds of torture tests. Today its still running at 3.4ghz with the original motherboard (ASUS Maximus Formula). I even play BF3 and Metro Last Light with decently high settings at 1080p. I use it everyday for college stuff, watching movies, gaming, etc. Its getting old and is no where close to the i5s and i7s in terms of perfromance, but I will never forget the good times. I'm seriously sentimental about this processor haha.
Other Thoughts: My current system:
Q6600 @ 3.4ghz @ 1.42v
Maximus Formula X38
4gb ddr2 @ 850mhz
