This review is from: BYTECC BT-135E-BK 3.5" SATA Aluminum Drive Case
Pros: Hot swaps a 3.5 drive. Very strong. Works.
Cons: Clunky drive loading (too much friction - metal on metal) and the fact the power button IS the keylock make this product a pain for my client to use. Won't purchase again.
Other Thoughts: I also didn't like the mechanism for closing the lid - you 'turnout' a screw. Weird.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quality of build, weight, performance, features. It's a winner!
Other Thoughts: I use this to interface with my rack mounted workstation 35' feet away. One USB cable (purchased separately) and this hub now runs my mouse, keyboard, and memory card reader flawlessly.
The extra power ports charge my cell phone and cameras without a hitch. I also really appreciate how it has a good weight so it doesn't slide around or off your desk when fully loaded. Go Vantec!
Pros: Nice middle length between 25' and 50'. Good Price. Cables where easy to 'straighten and train'. Successful in getting signal the 35' distance!
Other Thoughts: I used these two of these cables to bring signal to two monitors from my rack mounted workstation on the other side of my office.
After hearing horror stories on the internet regarding DVI signal loss and long cables I ended up buying a pair of DVI boosters to help with the job. The boosters were unnecessarily - a pleasant surprise. All I needed where these cables.
These cables are running my two monitors just fine at 1920x1080 being fed from a simple low-profile fan-less video card worth about $50. I primarily work with Adobe Products and Microsoft Office.
Maybe I just got lucky again but StarTech really does seem to provide some really niche products for the different types of configurations I tend to run. StarTech is an under-rated hero from my perspective on all the products I've purchased from them.
