This review is from: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 4GB G1 GAMING OC EDITION
Pros: > Overclocks well.
>Great gaming temps even with OC.
>Very quiet fans. Never notice them.
>Sturdily built card, nice backplate.
>Good value for its current price.
Cons: >New model has Hynix VRAM instead of Samsung. Doesnt OC as well.
>VRAM issue. See other thoughts.
>To avoid coil whine I have to limit FPS to 144 with software. Not really a problem.
Other Thoughts: I run my gpu at 1467/8000 and its nice and stable. I have been perfectly happy with the card except for the VRAM issue which isn't really Gigabytes fault, but Nvidias. It usually isnt a problem in most games, but if a game uses right around 3.5 GB of VRAM then it can cause stuttering. I know from firsthand experience because in Shadow of Mordor my 1080p screen uses almost exactly 3.5 GB VRAM at ultra settings and I get HORRIBLE stutter. If I turn the settings down to high I only use about 3-3.2 GB of VRAM and the game runs silky smooth.READ FULL REVIEW

Pros: >Fairly quiet at normal rpms.
>Cheap (9$) on sale.
>Great build quality.
Cons: None really. Does get a little bit louder if you run it at max rpm, but honestly its nowhere near as bad as other fans I have seen running at maximum...
Other Thoughts: Wait for them to go on sale and you will get a great deal :)READ FULL REVIEW
