Most Critical Review

Too Wierd

Adesso ACK-595UB Mini USB Keyboard (Black)
Adesso ACK-595UB Mini USB Keyboard (Black)

Pros: This thing is heavy and solid.

Cons: The Bottom row is crowded with tiny keys. 2 windows keys are 1 too many. Worse, I can't get comfortable with the Fn key being on the bottom left corner instead of the Ctrl. The upper right corner is equally messed up, it has the Pause key instead of the Delete key. I'm going to get another Siig, which deals well with size and placement of keys.

Overall Review: What is the delete key doing in the bottom row?

Dissapointing

ThinkPad Laptop T Series Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2GB Memory 160GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 + Intel GMA 4500MHD 15.4" Windows Vista Business 32-bit T500 (20555TU)

Pros: This is the business machine of choice if you want the best for Windows. That's what everyone says anyway. It has a fantastic case and keyboard. Dual video with the 3650. Mine has the 8600 processor and Vista Business. I bought this from the Lenovo website.

Cons: The Number of things loaded at startup is more than any laptop I've seen. Takes forever to boot out of the box. After trimming the bloat out, it's still slower than my machine with a T6600 by far. Now the really bad. The ATI video took a dump and is dead. The DVD Drive is also now dead. DVD burners cost 169.00 from Lenovo. This machine has bee very disapointing.

Overall Review: I've had nice laptops that LAST from HP, Acer, and Toshiba. I paid a LOT more for my work machine because I wanted the best for my Business. It was not worth the money.

Not so great

GIGABYTE GA-890XA-UD3 AM3 AMD 790X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-890XA-UD3 AM3 AMD 790X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: It has a decent feature set on paper.

Cons: The onboard LAN is dead. It worked for authenticating my Windows, and a few minutes more. I bought a PCI ethernet card instead of sending it back. The easy tune overclock utility just crashes the system. The onboard video is too slow to be good for casual gaming. The SATA ports are poorly placed. The manual and BIOS are so poorly translated, you will have to try very hard not to laugh. The ASRock 870 Extreme-3 will be my next board if this thing craps out any further.

Overall Review: After many trouble free builds with ASUS, and ASRock, I decided to try a Gigabyte board. I will be reluctant to try another.
