Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Laptop Memory Model 991577
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: Works great in my 2006 HP Pavilion DV8408US notebook. Passed Windows 7 built-in memory diagnostic running extended test setting. Onboard chips probably vary from one batch to another but mine were labeled SEC Korea which seems to indicate Samsung. I like!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 64-bit OS and my BIOS both show 4GB installed now, but only 3GB usable. This is NOT the fault of the memory but rather a limitation of the notebook itself.

Intel Network 7260.HMWWB.R WiFi WIRELESS-AC 7260 H/T 2X2 AC 867 Mbps+ Bluetooth HMC Dual Band Brown Box
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Installed in Shuttle DS81L book PC without issues. Downloaded the WI-FI drivers AND the separate Bluetooth drivers from Intel website. Works fine on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. My Bluetooth keyboard and mouse pair OK too.

Cons: No antenna hardware, drivers or documentation included since "brown box" packaging. Contrary to title, did NOT include a brown box either, LOL. Some users might need help finding the right driver packages from Intel but knowledgeable system builders should be fine.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to download the Bluetooth drivers from Intel even though you may see some generic Bluetooth drivers in Windows 7 device manager. WI-FI 5Ghz band seemed to be one bar weaker but might just be my N600 router. Had exact same issue with another completely different 5Ghz adapter too. Maybe it is normal?

SYBA USB 3.0 2.5

4 out of 5 eggs Replace USB Cable if Large Transfers Fail 02/20/2015

This review is from: SYBA USB 3.0 2.5" & 3.5" Dual bay Black SATA III, HDD Docking Station for Easy Clone and Backup, CL-ENC50060

Pros: Dual bay allows one-button duplication of source drive to destination drive without using USB or computer. USB transfers are good 3.0 speed providing you do not get a defective USB cable in package like I did.

Cons: Required defect troubleshooting. As another reviewer mentioned, worked on small file transfers but failed on larger ones. Replaced USB cable and now works all the time. Recommend all purchasers test cable thoroughly. AC adapter often sparks when inserting plug into wall outlet. Perhaps this is due to higher amp draw to support up to 2 drives but it can still startle a bit.

Other Thoughts: Will try to get warranty replacement on USB cable only. Paid out of pocket to get one quickly and verify device works great. Note that drives may not sit as solidly in this device as others, but not enough vibration to be a problem.
