Does what it says
Pros: If you want to keep your AGP and DDR memory, while upgrading your CPU socket 478 to socket 775, this motherboard does the job. It isn't exactly the fastest, but it does work. If you are thinking to upgrade later to PCI-E, skip this board, and buy a low end PCI-E card and motherboard combo.
Cons: Very limited documentation. I also had to use a PCI ethernet card because whenever I used the built-in ethernet card, I kept getting corrupted files during my burn in tests and OS patching (windows update).
Overall Review: I have this board overclocking Pentium Dual cores (E2160, E2200) as well as Core 2 Duos (E4500, E4600, E6300). Very limited overclock with stock cooling (I found about 10 to 15% like another user), but it does work. The overclocking is very dependent on the memory brand you use. Make sure you understand CPU-z. Oh, and I now have 4 of these boards since I had so many AGP cards I didn't want to upgrade.
Revised review
Pros: Quality and clarity of the screen
Cons: HP Tech Support (India based). Wasted a lot of time trying to get through to the right person. As my previous review mentioned, one of the screens arrived with an internal crack, that HP declared was a customer issue and not covered by warranty. I made 4 to 5 phone calls, each time speaking to someone in India and their "supervisor" who only wasted my time. Compared to all the other monitors that I purchase for my company from other companies, the RMA/repair process appeared to be impossible. About 2 months ago, I told the HP representative that I would remove HP from bidding for servers for my company, which I promptly did. The HP sales person tried to call on my behalf, and also became frustrated.
Overall Review: A couple of months later, with this brick of a monitor, and a need to purchase enterprise switches, I decided to call HP again. We purchase mainly HP switches at my company, and I really didn't want to tell HP to go away again. The call started off with my speaking to someone in India, but this time, within 10 minutes, I was escalated to someone in America (Canada actually) eventually who could help get me a replacement monitor, since HP can not repair the monitor. The replacement monitor arrived, and was a demo unit since they could not give me a new monitor. Which made me happy compared to having a brick that I paid too much for. I posted my first review prior to starting the call to HP for the 5th or 6th time, but this time I ended up with a working monitor. I'm not sure if I will purchase another HP monitor due to their standard policy, but I will purchase HP servers and switches (but not their printers or laptops).
RX580 2048sp
Pros: Generic OEM RX580 2048sp card built for the Chinese market that is normally not available in the US. AMD Adrenalin 19.4.3 drivers recognized it right away. So did TechPowerUp's GPU-z. Passmark 3D Mark on my system for this card was 7987. PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon RX 580 OC was 8377, my Acer Predator laptop's GTX 1060 6GB was only 7374, and for nearly twice the money, EVGA GTX 1660 Ti XC was 9813. So It has decent performance for the money. Corn is a real Chinese OEM card manufacturer, compared to the scams and fakes you find on online retailers.
Cons: This is a generic card that was built for the Chinese market, so all documentation is in Chinese. Shipment is from China, so patience is required. Questionable reliability based on the reviews of other cards by Corn, so if you're concerned like I was, be sure to buy the additional warranty.
Overall Review: I purchased the Square Trade 3 year warranty for additional money to get peace of mind.
Worked fine
Pros: Cost compared to Dell battery. Battery fitted fine in E4300 without any issues.
Cons: USPS delivery time was a little slow for something shipped within California, but that may have been because it was a battery.
Great for older systems still running Windows XP
Pros: I purchased 3 of these from a local vendor. The older systems I put them into are still running Windows XP. Performance improvement was very noticeable on these systems, and I don't have to deal with issues of alignment that SSDs have on XP. Great cost savings compared to my normally installing an Intel or Samsung SSD for TRIM support.
Cons: I don't trust UPS for delivering hard drives
Overall Review: I will post again if there are any issues with the drives, but 3 months, and they're still performing well. These are very tiny drives and have to be packaged well. That's why I purchased them from a local vendor, since I don't trust how UPS delivers packages.
Still working perfectly
Pros: This board has proven to be a reliable workhorse since I first purchased two in 2008. It's now 2013, and they're both working fine. I purchased it primarily for AGP support, as well as PATA and SATA-2
Cons: It's a combo board that only has 2 DDR2,and 2 DDR memory slots. It only supports up to DDR2-667. It can't be overclocked very well.
Overall Review: I was thinking of buying a couple more of these boards recently to provide a home for some E2160, and unfortunately they're no longer available. Although there appears to be another ASRock board that has AGP PATA (but only DDR and SATA -1150) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157338
Excellent seller
Item was as described. Transaction was smooth. Only snag was caused by UPS picking up the product from seller slower than expected. Total time of 5 days for UPS. Compared to USPS, it probably would have arrived in 1-2 days between Southern California and Northern California.
