Pros: lightweight, everyday usage quick and efficient, can play Netflix hd with no stuttering, screen responsive and high quality. dual band wifi. full windows 8, battery life.
Cons: overheats when being pushed (cpu and wifi). no full usb, more ram would be nice. Availability of accessories.
Other Thoughts: i bought this after being pleased with a surface rt. This device is much faster and overall a great experience. i upgraded to win 8 pro and installed WMC. With my hdhomerun prime i can watch live TV. however when running WMC and i lay tablet down with screen up, it has overheated and shut down, i believe this is actually due to the cpu and wireless both pumping out heat as wmc takes some cpu and the wifi is streaming about 20/mbs, if i hold the tablet vs laying on back it does get hot but not overheat. I am still very pleased.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good board, nics work well, boot quickly. Stays cool and quiet. CPU is very good for what it is. Plays 1080 Netflix but CPU usage is very high. Connected to infinitytv 4 tuner, able to use all 4 tuners at once (hd 1080i, 3 record, 1 watching). Comes out of suspend quickly. Connected as a htpc with a SSD boot drive and a iscsi drive(2tb) using a dedicated network interface. 0 issues so far, it has been on constantly since I received it and been threw a few power failures with no problems. In small htpc case with no additional cooling other than CPU fan. With 50" plasma attached.
Cons: Ivy bridge but no USB 3.0, only 1 sata 6gb port.
Other Thoughts: Very impressed with this board. Runs WMC very well, just waiting for UbuntuTV.....
I have had 3 other htpc(s) although this was least powerful, it's my favorite cause it is quiet and cool and dual nics allow for large storage with small footprint, iscsi is the way to go.
