Seagate Hybrid Drive ST2000DX001 2TB MLC/8GB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s NCQ 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Affordable hasn't completely quit yet only had it a few months

Cons: Does not start up fast last start up it took forever to even boot into Windows ell my equipment is new so I know it isn't that. It has been giving me problems since I got it not acting the way it should for a SSHD more like an old 5400RPM that's going out which is what I replaced this one for.

Other Thoughts: None just disappointment

Seagate Desktop HDD ST3000DM001 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Works great still and boots fast

Cons: Does not come ready to load Windows 7 it is formatted GPT which is for Windows 8 so when I tried to load Windows 7 it would not see the hard drive So I had to format it for Windows 7 and when you do that it makes 750GB partition that you can no longer use and when you try to format is back it wont do anything that part of my HDD is DEAD!!!!!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: Stop making all new HDD's for Windows 8 and at least be more open about what is happening and what to expect. I can onl;y use 2TB of my 3 TB HDD that is just stupid.
