Pros: At this point, none.
Cons: Card died after a very short period of normal operation.
Other Thoughts: About two hours after my previous review, the card died.
Visual inspection showed very poor quallity control--I would be ashamed to even let anyone see a PCB that looked that bad! (sloppy solder joints)
To add insult to injury, ProTrend's customer service is as bad as the product!
It's been over two months since I sent the defective card back and all I have to show for it are a few emails promising to take care of the matter. . . FAIL!
Pros: Works as advertised. Not advertised, but true, NEEDS NO DRIVERS FOR LINUX!
Cons: Certainly not the fault of the card, but be aware that you may need multiple extra parts to install. In my case, I had no spare power from the PSU, so needed a Y-cable (which also converted from SATA to MOLEX) AND a power cable extension since the cables (with adapter/Y) did not reach. That said, I'd buy more of these cards in a heartbeat.
Other Thoughts: Although I've only had this a few weeks, it's been long enough to rule out "infant mortality" and I expect good service from the product.
Also, since I bought this for, and used it in, a Linux only system, I cannot comment on the Windows interface/drivers.
