ASUS RT-N53 Dual Band Wireless N600 SOHO Router, DD-WRT Open Source support, Fast Ethernet, 5 Guest SSID, Parental Access Time control to Each User
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Wireless is fast with good range, capable of lots of device connections and no slow downs. The latest firmware is easy and stable. Multiple SSIDs. For the price it is very good router, not many others offer the same stability, features, and cost.

Cons: These are not really cons, but buyers should know:
No network storage, although reviews I have read on those devices that do have issues
No gigabit lan
Some of the older firmwares were buggy, the newest is stable though
I have seen a lot of reviews complaining about 5ghz channel, many due to lack of technical understanding, but there may be some issues with the router itself.

Other Thoughts: I have owned this router for over a year and would still buy it. Its got most of the features you will need for great wireless connectivity at an affordable price. More importantly, It is ROCK stable, and I never have to reboot it. If you like to spend excessive money on technology, this might not be the router for you, but if you want something that you can set up once and have connectivity for multiple devices for years, this is the best router on the market. ADATA S102 Pro 16GB Advanced USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Gray) Model AS102P-16G-RGY
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Price, USB 3.0

Cons: Write Speed, Overall Speed

Other Thoughts: I got this drive as an upgrade to a 1GB drive I bought a few years back. Its nice to have these around to quickly transfer data between PCs without using the network. The price was right and it had USB 3.0 so I bought it.

Overall I'm a little disappointed in the speed. It only gets 4-5 mbps most of the time when writing to it. Read speeds are decent, but nothing that impressive. Here are my crystalmark benchmarks

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Corsair, 1600, paid under $40, auto detected settings

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Corsair is the top brand in memory IMO with Gskill and some others falling shortly behind. I got this memory for super cheap so am really happy with it. Motherboard picked up the timings no problem. Even if it didn't sometimes you have to manually set timings, its not that hard, do a little research. Will probably attempt to overclock at some point.
