This review is from: 8GB (4X2GB) DDR2 PC2-5300 Desktop RAM Memory for Dell XPS 420
Pros: It's ddr2 but it can still be had. It brought new life to an old D#!! XPS 410.
Other Thoughts: The very expensive '07 XPS had a limit of 4Gbs under Vista. Upgraded to quad core, Win 7, and a new graphics card. With this 8Gbs it's running like a champ.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good brand, good price, e-mail coupon...
Cons: Had to juggle the bios around a bit for stability but I believe that was because of the older motherboard, not the RAM.
Other Thoughts: Mixed this with 2x2GB Kingston and running stable at 1600 MHz, 9-9-9-24. Not sure why my other review didn't post. Kept it short and sweet but don't see it anywhere,.....it'll probably show up after I post this one.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Hyperx Blu Khx1600C9D3B1K2/8Gx Ddr3-1600 8Gb(2X4Gb) Cl9 Memory Kit
Pros: Got it at a great price with a coupon to boot.
Cons: Had to juggle the bios a bit.
Other Thoughts: Mixed it with some smaller and older Kingston RAM. Had to look up how to use MemOK button but once I got it to post and settings stable for both sets I haven't had any problems.READ FULL REVIEW
