Pros: This is the best price you'll find for an AH-IPS panel. I bought mine in late October 2013 from newegg for $139 shipped. Excellent viewing angles, color, and brightness. No ghosting or motion blur. Minimal light bleed (but some minor IPS glow). Comes with built in (but bare bones) speakers.
Cons: Slight IPS glow, but this is a minimal problem common to basically all IPS panels and it isn't severe. Still leaps and bounds better in overall performance than a TN panel. The speakers are nothing to write home about - all that can be said is they produce sound. The first one I ordered came with dead pixels, but newegg offered a quick free replacement so it wasn't a big deal. Monitor is not very adjustable and it comes with limited connection options. Not a problem for me as HDMI works.
Other Thoughts: Amazing price for what you get: a 24 inch IPS panel for $139. Many people have complained that it doesn't wake up from sleep over HDMI - make sure your HDMI cable is v1.4 (or later in the future) and this should fix it.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Bought this in late October 2013 from newegg for $699, which was an almost absurdly good deal. I haven't seen anything comparable price-wise for what you get under the hood. Even tiger direct sells the same model for $100 more.
Cons: To get the most out of the machine you'll probably want to do a couple of upgrades. I also bought a Toshiba 128gb SSD for $80 (installing it was easy because the Acer has an easy-access swappable drive bay). If you're using this for gaming or rendering you'll want to pick up a graphics card. The onboard graphics are fine for home use but this powerful rig will be bottlenecked by graphics performance if you try to do anything much more intensive. A decent card will make this thing a beast.
Other Thoughts: Overall, well worth it for an amazing price that saves you enough cash to pick up a couple of extra performance enhancing components. Lastly, it doesn't come with a monitor (not really a con), so I picked up an ASUS LED 23.8" 5MS VN248H-P. Beautiful monitor combined with blazing hardware - a real pleasure.READ FULL REVIEW
