T-Stand Hybrid Dual Armor Case Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Exhibit T599 for T-Mobile
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Fits like a glove. Very sturdy. Well made. Should protect the phone from just about anything.

Cons: A little difficult to get on. The pull-out stand is too tight to open with just a fingernail.

HT | OMEGA Claro Halo 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card w/ a built-in HI-FI Headphone Amplifier
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Great sound, swappable opamps.

Advantages over the Asus Xonar Essence ST:
* no extra power connector required
* has dedicated optical port (no adapter required)
* DTS encoding sounds better than Dolby Digital Live

Cons: Died after 23 months of admittedly heavy use.

Other Thoughts: The Asus does have a longer warranty, but Asus is such a shady company, they would not honor it. Instead they sent me 2 replacement cards, both of which had the same defect. They refused to refund it.

Get the extended warranty. And pray.

ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990X + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: It works.

Cons: Runs my memory at 1600 mhz instead of 1833 mhz. I ran ASUS's automatic overclocking software, and it actually reduced the memory speed to 1439 mhz! Not cool asus.

The memory contains SPD information on running at 1833 mhz. However, the bios on this board is incapable of loading any SPD but the first. Instead, it wants you to enter the SPD information manually. And instead of using abbreviations (like "tCL") it fully spells out each field, using nonstandard terminology. The abbreviations are only mentioned on the screen where the SPD information is reported. Therefore, there is no way to know what values you need to enter. Not cool asus.

Other Thoughts: Got Windows 8 for this system, and really hate it. With the new FX-8350, it is no faster than my old 6-core 1090T, perhaps because 32-bit apps run slower on a 64-bit OS. Stick with Windows 7.
