Pros: Great drive. Spins up fast, burns and reads quickly, and is very quiet. Much nicer than the drive I relaced it with.
Other Thoughts: This is the exact same drive as in the retail DVR-2910 box. No features were changed or excluded between retail and OEM burners as Pioneer has done in the past.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS P5K-E LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: This is a great board. It is laid out well, installation was a breeze, and the computer booted up on the first try. Shipped with the latest (1013) BIOS, and had no problems with my Q6700 and 4GB of OCZ RAM. The Zalman 9500 HSF fit on it perfectly and looks great too. The Q-connector made wiring to the case a cinch. The Marvell LAN port is very fast, and the latest drivers were on the CD. I'm running VISTA 64 and so far everything is running perfectly.
Cons: A large vid card like the 8800 GTX or newer from NVidia will partially block two of the SATA connectors. Make sure to buy cables with at least one right-angle plug on them.
Other Thoughts: Once again, Asus saved my bacon. This is the second faulty mobo of other brands that I have replaced with Asus, and they have never let me down. When will I ever learn?READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill R2-JBOD - Aluminum 3.5" SATA I / II USB 2.0 Dual-Bay External Enclosure
Pros: Just what I was looking for in a beautiful, black aluminum drive enclosure. Nice shape and finish and feels heavy and solidly constructed. VERY easy to assemble. Works perfectly, just plug it in and the drives are ready for use. The fan is quiet, and there is a power switch for when the unit is not in use. The power brick is in the middle of the cord, and not at the end.
Cons: None, this is a great product.
Other Thoughts: I was originally looking for a regular external drive for backups, but they all seem to be unreliable and have lousy reviews, so it was a better solution to buy this enclosure and make my formerly internal drives into external backup ones. I am using two WD 320 GB drives in this enclosure, and have replaced them with a much bigger drive for my new computer build.READ FULL REVIEW
