Pros: Very nice features, well-designed cooler, stable and fast. Very nice construction. Can run most games at max settings at 2560x1440.
Cons: Cooler's a little louder than my Gigabyte GTX 460, and doesn't seem to immediately enable hardware fan control (e.g. the fans are running unusually fast during memtest86+). However, once Windows boots the fans are nice and quiet, and there aren't any issues with them speeding up during sleep either (I had a previous card that sounded like a leaf blower every time the computer was asleep).
Other Thoughts: Very big card. Make sure it fits in your case.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good construction and nice features for the price point.
Cons: This board is very flaky with 4 DIMMs installed. After spending a very long time troubleshooting the issue, I've managed to resolve the memory corruption issues by installing the DIMMs in a mismatched fashion (i.e. the opposite of what the manual recommends). This has made memory access a bit slower but has resolved all of my crashing/corruption problems. If not for this issue, this would easily be a 5-egg board, but spending so much time on a buggy board (where support was useless) has soured me on it. However, it's working now, so I still gave it 3 eggs.
Other Thoughts: I've written one previous review for this board, before I discovered that mismatching the memory resolved the issue.
Gigabyte's support is mildly infuriating; they updated the status of my RMA to say it had been tested and no issues were found, then didn't ship it back for another two weeks. Additionally, last time I sent an email to Gigabyte's "Newegg VIP support", they didn't even respond (this was several weeks ago, so I'm definitely not being impatient here).
Seeing as many other reviewers have mentioned memory/BSOD/stability issues, I should have done more research before buying.
Pros: Lots of ports, decent set of features, reasonable design.
Cons: I seem to be experiencing the same memory corruption issue that other reviewers have mentioned. With my board, the issue disappears if I use two modules instead of four.
Other Thoughts: I sent this board in for RMA and they were unable to find any issues with it. Swapping in an old motherboard and processor (while leaving everything else the same) fixes the issue, however, so I'm fairly certain the problem is this motherboard. My next step will be to see whether clocking the memory down a bit will resolve it (as others have mentioned), and if that doesn't work, I'll just have to live with only two memory modules.READ FULL REVIEW
