Pros: This is a follow up review from my first review from back in May 2014. The good news is that it still works after 10 months, it has been the foundation to my Windows 7 64 Bit Pro system for all this time.
I have finally installed an SSD into the M.2 header on the board because the price went down, and newegg had a special offer that went along with it, so I went for it. The M.2 SSD works great on this board, it lays totally flat and requires no cables as it plugs directly into the MB, and there was no issue as far as compatibility and Windows runs just fine out it.
Cons: There are 2 cons / issues that I have had with this MB...the on board SATA headers face sideways and not upwards, I do not like this I never have...I do understand why they have it this way, but that doesn't mean I like it...why? Mostly because of cable management issues for me.
The other con is that I get these random messages from Windows about how one of my USB ports has stopped functioning etc. The weird thing is that it is so random, and I have never been able to figure out WHAT Windows is talking about. Also, I don't really know if this is actually a Windows issue or with the MB. It doesn't affect the use or functionality or stability of my system, it's more of an annoyance than anything.
Other Thoughts: As stated in my first review, back in May 2014, this is a great board for gaming and for use as a platform for software programs like Photoshop, and other graphic/photo editing/video editing use.
My Windows 7 PC has never run faster, and more stable than it does right now with this MB and all the upgrades I have been able to add since getting it. My system that runs on this board:
Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
Corsair 750 watt Modular PSU
Intel Core i5 4570 3.20GHz
16 GB DDR3 1600 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2GB Memory
Crucial CT 250GB M.2 SSD
3 SATA 3 7200RPM Backup hard drives
HP Deskjet 6940 network printer
Epson flatbed scanner
2 Dell monitors
This review is from: BUFFALO WXR-1900DHP AirStation Extreme AC 1900 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router
Pros: Delivered quickly from Newegg.
It's easy to set up, and does not take any special tech skills to create a strong wireless access point in the house.
It's nice and clean looking.
And has good range throughout my house.
All my devices... Dell laptop, Samsung tablet, Nokia smart phone, and my son's Windows 7 PC in the back bedroom, had no issue connecting to this wireless router.
Cons: Have not had a con yet....
Other Thoughts: This router is used for internet surfing, you tube etc, and there is no lag, stutters, glitches, restarts....yet. Time will tell if it continues to function as a stable, wireless access point at our house...so far so good.
The actual design and looks of this wireless router is kind of different, it has these 3 antennas sticking up from the top, that resemble white rabbit ears. They are able to swivel around to zero in on the sweet spot.
This router can be mounted on a wall or whatever, or it can sit in its cute little stand that holds it firmly in place.
I have it set up right in the center of our house, and any device at either end of the house will connect easily.
It feels like a solid built unit, and kind of has a classy look to it...if that matters to you.
This review is from: Team Color Turn 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TG032GE902C3
Pros: Quick transfers even at 2.0
Seems well built, feels solid, and I like the swivel design so there is no cap to keep track of.
My Windows 7 64 bit PC had no trouble warming up to this little memory storage transfer stick thingy.
Cons: Have not had any yet.READ FULL REVIEW
