4 out of 5 eggsgood monitor

Pros: no dead pixels, no ghosting in games, solid performance so far.

Cons: speakers suck, but who buys a monitor for speakers anyway?

Other Thoughts: it does run very bright right out of the box, but just turn it down to about 40 and it looks great.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sweet monitor. 4ms delivers no ghosting that I can notice ... and I'm trying to find some. 19" fills the visual space. The viewing angle is solid, no complaints. No dead pixels - not even one.

No idea about the speakers. I'm not using them.

Trivial installation.

Cons: Extremely minor - default brigthness is a little too high. I had to turn it down a bit.

Other Thoughts: Thanks BenQ and Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Crisp, clear, stylish. Shows bright, vibrant colors.

Cons: Very difficult to get the brightness, contrast and color to all work together. I spent a long time tweaking the three before I found a decent balance. At this point it is calibrated the best it can be for what I do (photos, some gaming, some video), but it still isn't perfect. The colors are often so bright that it distorts edges and gives photos a type of cartoonish feel. It also isn't as sharp as I would have preferred, but it's good enough for what I do.

Other Thoughts: It's worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: Hey just plugged in the monitor and wow is all i can say. Brightness, clarity, eye comfort and over all performance of the 4ms responce time of the monitor are excellent. No dead pixels and plug and play a another plus....... I highly recommend the monitor especially for the price new egg is giving it away for.

Cons: Did'nt come with a manuel and their is'nt one to download on the Benq site so i had to figure out how the control buttons functioned. This is quite minor considering i'm very happy with the monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall nice...

Pros: The first thing I noticed when removing this monitor from its box is how solidly it's built. The plastic case is very tight, and the stand seems stout as well. The picture is bright and sharp as far as pictures and gaming are concerned. A definite step up from a bulky CRT. The design looks better in person than it does in the online pictures.

Cons: The monitor has one dead pixel. It's in the extreme lower-right, and it's black, so it's not a problem at all, other than the fact it's there. There is some light bleed from the top. Again, no biggie. Text is a little blurry, but it's possible I can mess with the settings to improve it. The control buttons are a somewhat tough to use, being they're on the underside of the monitor. The only adjustment the monitor stand has is tilt.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy overall with this monitor. Some people might say it's too bright, but I'd rather have it too bright than too dark....especially for gaming, which is the main reason I bought it. Newegg is the best. I've never had a bad product from them and I always save $$$. Plus shipping is lightning fast.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

Pros: Excellent LCD! I have purchased a 17" BenQ LCD in the past, and was blown away by the display. So I bought this FP91V for myself. And this one didn't dissapoint! The display is very bright and vibrant. Can't recommend enough~

Cons: The documenation with the monitor is not very thorough. I've not been able to get the monitor drivers shipped with the monitor to work... but with that said... the Microsoft default driver works just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsExecelent Monitor!!!

Pros: This monitor is bright with execelent, vivid colors. It came with no dead pixels. I got the Benq to replace a 19" Gateway and was very surprised at the new colors and features that were now visibile on the lcd.

Cons: I have no cons for this monitor. I think that pony express could beat ups.

Other Thoughts: The speakers work fine for me. If I need better sound, I plug in my earphones. I love my monitor.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Good response time for an LCD
- Bright
- Large
- Has speakers, albeit poor
- Cheap . . . for an LCD

Cons: - Noticeably Grainy/Pixely
- Distinct "shimmering-variance" in pixels, producing a sort of "television static" look in some areas
- Textures in games brighten and darken sporadically as you move
- Occassional Tearing on portions of screen
- Copious amounts of light leakage
- Cannot display black--PERIOD! Dark games, or even dark PARTS of games (Ex: the tunnel in CS' prodigy map) are impossible to see in. You'll hurt your eyes trying to make things out.
- Verticle spanning columns in games
- Utilizing headphone jack produces extreme white-noise, and elimates directional-audio coordination (can't tell if someone is coming from the left or right)

Other Thoughts: I made the "big-switch" from CRT to LCD about 2 weeks ago and bought this monitor. It is unfortunate to say that my worst fears have come true.

Initially, my experience with this monitor was positive (liked the bright screen). Afterwards, I began to notice many anomalies LCDs are so often criticized for (am using DVI).

First off, the screen is quite pixely at high resolutions. This is VERY noticable in game textures, and small text can look quite distorted in general. In addition, pixels distinctly "shimmer" in variance, sometimes producing a TV static effect.

There is also a very nauseating effect where textures in games will brighten/darken in random conjunction with movement. Likewise, there is occassional tearing.

Another big problem I have is that this monitor CANNOT DISPLAY BLACK. It is more or less gray. With all the light leakage, the edges virtually appear white. Don't even contemplate playing FEAR on this, or any other dark game.

I RMA'd it today. Getting
