5 out of 5 eggsGreat Earbuds

Pros: Great sound. They seal in my ears right side up or upside down (180 degree turn [it works better for some people]). Sound great either way. I found them quite comfortable. Decent bass, but really great overall sound.

The bass is slightly less or possibly equal to the Skullcandy FMJ's they replaced, but the overall sound is obviously better. They shut out noise better than my FMJ's, even when the FMJ's were using Foam tips.

Cons: Cost a bit more than some other options, but I feel they are worth it.

Other Thoughts: Not sure what happened with that other guy. These work great with my iPad.

5 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with Nokia N8

Pros: These sound pretty good, cord is long enough, ear pieces are comfortable, nice case to keep track of them.

Cons: I bought these as part of a package deal here on New Egg with the Nokia N8 I was buying. Newegg said they were compatible. THEY ARE NOT. I'm not sure why, but I could hear the music, but barely hear the voices in the song, UNLESS I held down the middle button on the ear phone mic/control. I tested them with my daughters iPhone and they sounded really good and worked correctly. So, I gave the earphones a high mark, but everyone should be aware that they're not compatible with the N8 like Newegg claims.

Other Thoughts: I'm disappointed in Newegg regarding this. I wouldn't have bought them if Newegg hadn't said that they were compatible and actually put them in as a package deal with the N8. I feel like Newegg lied / misled me. Shame on Newegg.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh...

Pros: Base is rich, powerful, volumous... basically rap/ hip hop friendly.

Cons: I tried 3 pairs of these thinking I just got a dud the first and second time- but after 3 pairs I quit trying to swap them and made a return. Basically if you listen closely the speakers sound like they have a thin sheet of plastic rattling against them, an ever so slight distortion that ruined the experience for me on nearly every song. I gave each pair a burn in time of over 2 weeks, listening every day so that was definitely not the problem.

Another beef I have is that the base volume has to be set just right to get the full effect, it is not proportionate across all volume levels. The base can be like the power range across the RPM for a gas car engine, once you hit the sweet spot you get the most power but anything below or above that range isn't proportionate and things end up sounding off.

Other Thoughts: These will probably not sound bad for most people. They do not however have accurate sound reproduction. They are base heavy, a bit raspy and as I mentioned I got 3 in a row with a cheap plastic sounding slight vibration sound to the treble that ruineds these for me. To put things in perspective I wasn't completely satisfied with any of my earbuds until I bought a $500 pair of SE535's from Shure.

5 out of 5 eggsGood buds, great sound.

Pros: The included ear gels made an excellent seat in my ear, and after breaking them in a bit they seat perfectly in my ear. Excellent Bass and Treble which can sometimes be a serious issue in headphones like this. The apple 3 button control / mic works with my iPhone 4, and my Macbook. Voice quality of the microphone is about on par with the standard iPhone 4 included headset.

Cons: Wires feel a bit flimsy, but the connections feel solid so I am not too worried they are going to strip on me.

Other Thoughts: These replaced a pair of SURE SE115s that vanished into my girlfriend's purse. The sound quality is absolutely the same at the SURE's and after playing with all the different ear gel sizes and found the ones that work for me they are just as comfortable as the SUREs. Overall I would definitely recommend them.

3 out of 5 eggsNot sure if it was worth it

Pros: Sound quality

Cons: Bad ear pieces
Thin cables

Other Thoughts: I had Shure SE115 with a music phone adapter. Both pieces ended up getting kinks causing the cable to short and I had to replace them both. I decided to try these out as a replacement. The ear pieces are definitely useless. I can't keep the headphones in my ears and they do not block any sound at all. I used my Shure ear pieces and that vastly improved the fit. The cable seems thin but as long as it doesn't kink and strip like the Shure SE115s I can't complain. The remote nor the mic works with the Droid X. The music phone adapter on the Shure did but then again build quality was not there. I know it says Iphone only but some Droid the buttons do work(excluding the volume buttons). I'm upset that you pay this much for headphones and they can't make it compatible with more devices. I guess since these are only considered "mid-range" thats probably why. Over all as long as these last longer than the Shure ones I'll be content.
