Do not settle for a stock air cooler, go liquid with ease with the CORSAIR Hydro H50 water cooling solution.

Your PC will run cooler and quieter when you replace your CPU’s standard heatsink with a Hydro Series H50. Installation is straightforward. If you can get to the back of your PC’s motherboard, you can install H50. All you’ll need is a screwdriver and you'll be up and running in minutes. Maintenance is minimal thanks to closed-loop architecture and pre-filled coolant, which also deliver unmatched durability and reliability for worry-free use for years to come.

  • newegg Excellent Cooling Performance Step up to higher efficiency and performance of water cooling. The micro fin copper cold plate delivers superior heat transfer, low-profile black aluminum heat exchanger works in concert with low-noise, low-speed 120mm fan enabling highly efficient heat dissipation, and at the same time keeping you in great peace of mind with minimized noise.
  • newegg All-in-One Closed-Loop System The CORSAIR Hydro H50 comes with pre-filled coolant and closed-loop design which requires no refilling and reduces the risk of liquid leakage to minimum, resulting in higher stability and minimized maintenance.
  • newegg Easy Installation The all-in-one design with closed loop makes for easier installation compared to traditional modular water cooling system. Complete with flexible rubber hose, low-profile black aluminum heat exchanger and low-profile integrated pump, you'll get hindering-free installation even in cramped space. (The Hydro Series H50 requires a 120mm fan mount location near the CPU in your chassis. Typically the rear exhaust fan is replaced with by the Hydro Series cooler.)
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50 CPU Cooler is compatible with Intel Socket 1156, 1155 and LGA1366. (The products shipped by Newegg are not ready for AMD. However, Newegg customer who wishes to receive free AMD bracket can contact Corsair by emailing and get one in your convenience)

4 out of 5 eggsNot An Overkill

Pros: We used this cooler in a mainstream home build for a client and it did exactly what we wanted. Its super quiet and super cool. Radiator was easy to fit in a mid tower ATX setup and configured on air intake we have no worries about sending this out the door with our name on it.

Cons: There is no software with this cooler from Corsair. For a mainstream build we did not want to sink to much budget into cooling so we were not terribly disappointed that the cooling block didn't have RGB LED lighting. What we were disappointed in is that it had no software that monitored temperature and fan speeds. This is something we expected to see but that could be that using liquid cooling is a new situation for us and we just sleep a little better at night knowing that we can check it's actual performance. If you have an extra 50 bucks to throw at your build go ahead and get the H80i so you can get this utility.

Other Thoughts: There are other ways to access the temperature reading from the bios like case mounted gauges and third party software however the free software options we saw looked shady and even after suspecting malicious software being paired with it we attempted one but our antivirus solution stopped it in it's tracks. So keep a mindful eye when going "out of the box" when checking this item's actual performance.

4 out of 5 eggsA cool CPU is a happy CPU

Pros: - Install was easy. Remove the old stuff, make sure things are set to the right socket type... mate the back and front plates, fit the radiator and fan, and install the heat sink. Done and done.

- It does its job well. It may seem overkill for my i3, but the stock cooler was sweating to keep the CPU cool under load in my small case. Not so anymore.

Cons: - 'Generous' would be an understatement regarding the amount of thermal paste on the bottom of the heat sink. I'd really prefer they'd just provide us with the paste and let us do it ourselves.

- As per the usual... stock fan leaves a lot to be desired.

- I can hear my GPU fans so much better now...

Other Thoughts: Using this in an ITX build, fit perfectly into my Cooler Master Elite 130. It's my first foray into water cooling; we'll see how long it all holds up.

4 out of 5 eggsCORSAIR Hydro Series H50

Pros: cools well, fit on z87 asus mb . I have it on a overclocked 4690k with no heat issues

Cons: slight pump noise

Other Thoughts: if your'e super picky don't get . like I said if u have your computer close you can hear a purr or slight rattle sound. but only if all fans on low and barely imo. I would get again for price unless something else for same better quality comes up on sale

5 out of 5 eggs1 week update. Improvements

Pros: able to find additional screws at local hardware store.

quiet pump

Very effective

needed clarifiaction on wiring guide ( see other thoughts)

Cons: Didn't come with enough screws to do push / pull out of the box. It would likely add 1 Dollar to the price if they included them... Better than the $5 I spent on extra from the hardware store.

Other Thoughts: In my previous review I reported that temps were 55 (55-62) at peak. I realized a few minutes ago (while installing second fan to make it a push/pull config) that I had wired it wrong. be sure the Fan (or at least one of them if you use two) plugs into the CPU FAN port... the Pump should plug into a regular Fan port anywhere else on the Motherboard. My temps dropped another 10c doing this. I'm just glad it wasn't sensitive enough to hurt my pump!!

Now my fan picks up during higher load, rather than the pump trying to push harder. a constant flow of fluid works better in this scenario, with the fan forcing more heat off the radiator. (i'm dump)

ALSO! If you don't want to order more screws from Corsair to add a second fan, you can pickup the screws from a local hardware store. The ones I got (#6-32 x 1-1/4 inches, Machine Screw, Round Head Combo) were the right thread and perfect length. Combined with some #6 flat washers, they cost me less than $5 (washers only came in a pack of 12 for me...) and I'm now in a push pull config!

Temps under load have not gone over 50c yet!!

i7 960 @ 3.2Ghz
12Gig DDR3 Triple Channel
GTX 460
(just got GTX 970 in mail today... Getting good benchmarks of the 460 before I swap it out to compare. Honestly my 460 is still a great card for 1080p. high graphic games only have a hard time from my 768Meg ram limitation)

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Easy to set up, somewhat universal fit, does the job it is supposed to do.

Cons: The mounting bracket doesn't fit flush to the motherboard, but it is bendable to provide that tight clamp in the right places.

Other Thoughts: Using Arctic Silver 5 the temps on a very basic intel processor sit at 37 degrees centigrade, which is a bit warmer than I had hoped. This concerns me since I will be installing an i7 soon. I will update this when I have more information.

4 out of 5 eggsJunk the fan

Pros: High quality, small factor liquid CPU cooler. Works great with Nightblade ITX case, that is once you figure out the way to arrange the hoses.

Cons: Non-PWM noisy fan. The "Quiet" part in the name is a joke.

Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor and junk the fan it came with. Replaced with Noctua NF-P12 PWM for a virtually noise free system. Note: other Noctua fans do not have enough pressure to drive this unit.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning Quiet and Cool

Pros: Simple and easy design works great.

Cons: Install instructions are awful. Would recommend looking up Corsairs installation guide on YouTube don't follow whats in the box for mounting to the processor.
