Do not settle for a stock air cooler, go liquid with ease with the CORSAIR Hydro H50 water cooling solution.

Your PC will run cooler and quieter when you replace your CPU’s standard heatsink with a Hydro Series H50. Installation is straightforward. If you can get to the back of your PC’s motherboard, you can install H50. All you’ll need is a screwdriver and you'll be up and running in minutes. Maintenance is minimal thanks to closed-loop architecture and pre-filled coolant, which also deliver unmatched durability and reliability for worry-free use for years to come.

  • newegg Excellent Cooling Performance Step up to higher efficiency and performance of water cooling. The micro fin copper cold plate delivers superior heat transfer, low-profile black aluminum heat exchanger works in concert with low-noise, low-speed 120mm fan enabling highly efficient heat dissipation, and at the same time keeping you in great peace of mind with minimized noise.
  • newegg All-in-One Closed-Loop System The CORSAIR Hydro H50 comes with pre-filled coolant and closed-loop design which requires no refilling and reduces the risk of liquid leakage to minimum, resulting in higher stability and minimized maintenance.
  • newegg Easy Installation The all-in-one design with closed loop makes for easier installation compared to traditional modular water cooling system. Complete with flexible rubber hose, low-profile black aluminum heat exchanger and low-profile integrated pump, you'll get hindering-free installation even in cramped space. (The Hydro Series H50 requires a 120mm fan mount location near the CPU in your chassis. Typically the rear exhaust fan is replaced with by the Hydro Series cooler.)
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50 CPU Cooler is compatible with Intel Socket 1156, 1155 and LGA1366. (The products shipped by Newegg are not ready for AMD. However, Newegg customer who wishes to receive free AMD bracket can contact Corsair by emailing rmaservice@corsair.com and get one in your convenience)

5 out of 5 eggsgreat!

Pros: keeps my i5 4690k under 50c with load, quiet.. fans never have to turn on over 30%.

Cons: The install was the worst thing I have ever experienced with the flimsy backplate.. maybe a more sturdy one that has another way of mounting itself to the motherboard would of been preferred. Was worth the 1 hour it took to install though.. 5 eggs!

Other Thoughts: none

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: -Keeps i53570k at the stock clock at very low temps at idle and under stress. ~24-27c on idle, and never over 42c under a full load.
-Very quiet
-Fits in even small cases (I have mine in a mini-Itx)

Cons: -Somewhat confusing installation/unclear directions (which is pretty typical with virtually every after-market cpu cooler in my experience haha). Definitely not enough to take an egg away.

Other Thoughts: If you aren't helpless when it comes to putting things together, you should be able to install it without any issues. However, I could see where it might be challenging for someone without any experience or skills with this type of thing. Many people have complained that the back plate does not fit an 1155 socket correctly. This is not true, it fits fine, it simply does not sit symmetrically (or straight for lack of a better word) as you have to turn it a few degrees to get the holes labeled 1155 to line up. Just make sure you line up the holes correctly (they are all labeled with the socket type) to match your socket type, and don't worry if it's turned to the side a little. Being turned slightly to the side has no effect on the functionality. And yes it is a somewhat tight fit, but it needs to be so your cooler does not move around.

I have been happily using the "ball style" Zalman air coolers for many years now, and have never felt the need to take it to the next step by investing in a liquid cooler. However, I needed a low profile cooler for a mini-itx build, and decided to give the H50 a shot because of the excellent reviews, and the fact that the radiator and fan fit perfectly into the case that I had according to the advertised dimensions.

Seeing as it has one of the smaller radiators that are offered on liquid coolers in general, I wasn't expecting amazing results. However, I was shocked to see such low temps even under max load. I was also very impressed with how quiet it is. Virtually the only noise comes from the fan (which can be replaced with any 120mm fan if the stock one is not quiet enough for you.) Although the Zalman ball coolers are $5-10 cheaper, and are often on sale, I would gladly pay the $5-$10 extra in return for the better performance and quieter operation.

Honestly, I don't even see why anyone would need a larger radiator with more fans on it unless they were doing some extreme overclocking. In my experience, this cooler is more than sufficient for standard overclocking practices or simply for keeping your stock clocked cpu running very cool.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't Fit 1150

Pros: None

Cons: It doesn't fit 1150 at all, even though it says it will in specifications. Don't waste your time with this one.

5 out of 5 eggsStrapped to an r9 290

Pros: It looks nice, it can be strapped to a graphics card using an NZXT G10.

Cons: none, except maybe the pump is doomed to break down at some point unlike air cooling where there is no water pump to worry about.

Other Thoughts: I strapped this water cooler to an AMD r9 290 with an NZXT G10. The max temps I observed with this cooler were 70C. Would recommend to anyone trying to cool down their graphics card.

4 out of 5 eggsCheck before you buy

Pros: Keeps CPU cool enough by itself that during normal web-browsing my case fans are not running.
Liquid cooling at this price point is quite ... cool.

Cons: Tube length is very short and this forced me to install it on the top of the case which is not ideal for a couple of reasons - 1. If there is a leak, it will spill over my video card, PSU etc. 2. I prefer intake fans to be at the bottom.

Pump is noisy. This is nitpicky because my system runs near silent and the only thing I can hear is the pump. YMMV.

Other Thoughts: Make sure the tube length allows you to build your rig the way you want it - as in the position of the fan/radiator in your case.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome product

Pros: Quiet, efficient and works like a boss.

My stock 4790k was running a hot 45c - 53c at idle and 78c under gaming load.

With the H50 I am idle at 28c-32c and 45c-55c under gaming load.

Cons: Newegg and the box says it support the LGA-1150 slot but the bracket and documentation has no setup instructions for the LGA-1150.

After playing with the bracket you will find the 1156 bracket slots fit the 1150 placement with a little bowing. Follow the instructions for everything else.

Other Thoughts: I have seen reviews saying "this does not work with LGA-1150" and I can tell you they are wrong. The bracket fits 1156 which does make a tight fit for the 1150 slot but it worked for my Hero VII mother board.
