3 out of 5 eggsOK board, but fan goes bad

Pros: Works on linux / Mythtv; HDMI audio is supported

Cons: Has video tears along the top of display, plastic fan blades tear off...board goes bad. Newegg refuses to help with fan replacement, Zotac doesn't recognize fan exist or go bad (replacements not available). Both would rather sell you a new board instead of a fan...bad-form, I'll buy another brand.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!!

Pros: This card is small but packs a punch!!
Does not require aditional power.
3 output formats, HDMI,D-SUB,DVI.
Great heatsink.

Cons: Fan is a little loud for a HTPC.

Other Thoughts: Bought this card because I needed a card that would work in my HTPC. The case was small and the tuner card had only one place to go (below this card) so this aforded no room for a double wide video card. This card runs video silky smoooth in HD with the HDMI port. Could not ask for a better card for my application.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for an old machine

Pros: I got this almost a year ago to upgrade my old Dell Dimension 5100 (P4 3.0ghz) which was struggling with 720p and couldn't even touch 1080p video. This was the best card my power supply could handle. Video playback is great, and CPU usage with 720p is only 5-20%, where in the past it was 40-60%. 1080p is playable with 50% CPU, but frame rate can suffer when there's a lot of action going on. Definitely CPU bottle-necked though, not a fault of the card.

I also run BOINC, and can get an average work score of about 2000 on SETI with this card. Not great, but it sure beats the couple hundred I was getting with only the P4.

Cons: Some codecs mess with the audio when playing video above 720p. Didn't happen with my old card, but it's not a big deal to change the settings in the media player.

Temps can get pretty high under load, even at stock settings. 80c while running BOINC isn't uncommon. Never caused any instability though, so no reason to subtract an egg.

Other Thoughts: A good choice for an old PC/low end power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't count on the rebates when buying this card

Pros: The card works. It's nothing fancy or the fastest card out there... it just works.

Cons: Zotac does not honor its rebates, so buy it with the mindset that the card will cost you what you paid for it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card for price.

Pros: HDMI, VGA, and DVI output.
No need for 6pin power.

Cons: DDR2, isn't the base standard at minimum DDR3 now?

Other Thoughts: For the price it is a good card. I put this in a friends fresh build. All he wanted was to play World of Warcraft, and it will play it on High settings on his 1440x900 19"w monitor, at about 27fps steady, and Good settings at about 35fps constant.

5 out of 5 eggssolid card for the price

Pros: very good card for the price. handles Black Ops & Civilization 5 without a problem.

Cons: none with the card, although Zotac has still yet to send back the rebate.

Other Thoughts: Zotac seems to make good cards, but their customer service experience is severely lacking.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value

Pros: Outstanding video card for the money. This was bought to replace a stock Nvidia 128 MB card that had failed in a Dell. Easy to install, and Windows 7 went out and found the latest drivers from the net. Performance increase over the old card was huge! Graphics intensive games are much snappier now than with the old card. Software includes ability to overclock and to manually control the fan. I just left it at the defaults. The fan is not noticeable at all (the Dell itself is louder) and hardly seems to run, even when gaming. My boys are very happy with this, and so am I.

Cons: None to this point.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card and Price

Pros: Excellent general-use card for most people.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: If your computer is a few years old, this is an excellent upgrade card to purchase. It will allow some gaming, but if you or your kids are really into it, you will need something more expensive.
