Pros: Seems to print well on plain paper, but black letter print is faint, especially in comparison with several Canon printers that I have used before.
Cons: HiFi access stopped working after the first few days, but that is no problem because it is wired to the computer. Biggest problem is printing in color on the 4X6" photo paper that came in the bundle. The colors are unnatural, but worse, the ink will not dry. Even after 2 weeks, the ink still smears and handling leaves smudges on the printed side. The black is the worst in not drying. Even drying with a hair dryer, the ink will not dry completely. I have never had this problem with previous printers on similar paper.
Other Thoughts: This is the most disappointing Canon printer (out of 5 or 6) that I have used.

Pros: This is not actually a review of the product which is fine for its intended purpose. This is to correct the misinformation of the prior poster who said: "On closer inspection of the package it says will not replace 564 4 cartridge systems" I've not seen that wording but it is correct. The ink cartridge package itself actually says:"Does not replace 564 black." To clarify, most color inkjet printers use 4 cartridges: cyan, magents, yellow and black. But HP printers intended for printing high quality photos use 5 cartridges. The 5th cartridge is called "Photo Black". The color of the ink is actually a middle gray and not the dark black of the regular (and much larger) black cartridge. These 2 forms of black are not interchangeable either as to color or size. This cartridge fits and works properly only in an HP printer designed for 5 vs 4 cartridges. Such printers are labeled "PhotoSmart" Actually, printers designed to make the highest quality photo prints use many more colors than 5... 9 or even 11.
Cons: No cons except the cost of HP ink

Pros: OEM ink, worked when installed, hasn't exploded
Cons: Price (as usual with OEM HP ink)
Other Thoughts: This ink sees light duty on our 8 year old HP DesignJet 4000 on 36" x 300' bright white inkjet rolls. Have never had a problem with HP ink other than price and fading on old standard paper plots (not unexpected).
