Your LED light strips won't be noticed if they don't have power. Your LEDs are an investment - treat them as such with a high quality HitLights power supply.
Voltage is a measure of electrical potential. US and Canadian household power is supplied at 110 Volts AC (alternating current). Our LED strip lights run on 12 Volts DC (direct current).
Wattage is a measure of power. LED strip lights will require a specific amount of power to run, measured in Watts. The power requirement of your strips should not exceed the capacity of your adapter!
UL is a nationally recognized organization, performing safety and quality testing on behalf of Federal agencies including OSHA. Many of our adapters are UL-Listed.

Adequate for the purpose
This review is from: HitLights UL-Listed 60 Watt Power Supply, 110V AC to 12V DC, 5A (LED Light Strip Transformer)
Pros: Powers the LED light string made by Hitlights. I currently have two, 24 watt strings connected and so far they're working. I plan to add a portion of a third string and I'll be up to the max power rating - we'll see if it holds up.
Cons: I have this powering an LED string mounted around the perimeter of my deck outside. Although the lights are rated for outdoor use, this supply is not so I had to improvise an enclosure for it. Would've been nice to be weatherproof but probably would've made the cost less attractive.
Other Thoughts: I'd like to know how to incorporate a dimmer circuit between this device's output and the LED's. Anybody have any ideas?
