Other Thoughts: Largest Mid Tower Case I have seen.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case I've owned

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: 140mm fans provide quiet operation. Case fan voltage switch on the top panel is a feature I did not expect to enjoy so much, but its great!
USB 3.0 front panel and audio inputs are sturdy.
Power Button is recessed to prevent accidental hits
Front air filter is easily removable
Interior case storage options are great for customization and optimizing air flow.

Cons: SSD mount has to be placed before putting on your mobo

Other Thoughts: I put a Velcro strip on the back of my SSD and mounted it that way instead of using the case screw holes. Works fine. Easily the best case I've owned. Moved the top fan to the front. had to pop off the front panel to remove the bottom drive bay.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case!

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Absolutely love this case! It was such an easy build and had so much room inside for everything I need. Definitely one of the better cases in this price range, I love all the options for water cooling whenever I upgrade.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like is on my case the Fractal Design logo was upside down, I had to pop it off and reattach it. Not a huge deal, was kind of funny when I realized it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, amazing customer support

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I'm one of those people that normally doesn't spend over $50 for a case. But now I know.

* So easy to build in.
* Cable management is a breeze.
* Detachable HDD bays is really convenient especially with the size of some current graphics cards.
* Built-in fan controller.
* Power button and USB ports are on the top, rather than on the front.
* Default Fractal fans are actually good.
* Front panel fan filter is easily removable without requiring you to open the case.
* Doesn't rattle at all.
* Replacement parts can be easily ordered.

Cons: I'm sure if I like how the ceiling fan grills extend all the way to the front of the case, but no negatives that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Accidentally dropped the front fan filter while cleaning it and one of the plastic clips that held it in place broke off. Despite being completely my fault, Fractal sent me a replacement at no cost to me.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Mid Tower

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Tons of dust filters
Lots of customization with locations of the drive bays/coolers
Fan Controller actually works pretty well

Cons: It is still a mid tower, so it was a bit snug
All my cables cause the back plate to flex a little and it cannot lock 100%
Gigabyte motherboards AND liquid cooling radiators might not fit inside this rig without a little modding. (Explained More Below)

Other Thoughts: So I currently have in my rig the Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 and the Corsair H100i GTX cooler. So the fans that come stock with the cooler and the giant Gigabyte heat sync on the motherboard towards the top come into contact and the cooler will NOT fit on the top without modification!!

This however can be avoided by this case as there is support to mount your radiator on the front of the case as well, or if you're used to how building computers used to be like myself, a simple hacksaw to the fan and a smaller replacement screw is good enough to get the job done.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent craftsmanship!

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: By far the best case I have ever bought, and I've purchased many different cases. One of my favorites was the Cooler Master HAF XB II EVO. But the one thing I don't like about it, is it's mostly made of plastic. But this FD, a majority of the inside is made of metal. I really like the drive cradles. All metal! I had another case that were made of plastic, constantly breaking. Now it's practically useless.

Cons: None that I could see. Build went smoothly!

Other Thoughts: I really don't like Masterpass. If you make a mistake, it states that your order didn't go through. When it actually did! What's the point of that? Imagine my surprise when I found out I had two of them coming! Talked to Joanna W. on Newegg chat, she was awesome! She understood and offered to pay the return shipping!
Well, I like this case so much, I'm keeping the extra for a future build!

5 out of 5 eggsGood case, little too tight in the front

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Clean Scandinavian design, good airflow, space for all the rads you need, fits all 12 inches of your GPU, plenty of space for cable management, removable hard drive cage, filters on all intake fans, what's not to like?
(I have an h100i installed on the top with a sapphire nitro 390(309mm))

Cons: -Front panel i/o were really tight, I had to push really hard to insert a USB drive or my headset. I initially thought they were not working because I could not plug in my headset or USB drives. It just turned out you need an excessive amount of force to plug anything in or remove anything.
-Unlike the Arc Mini R2, does not include the SSD mounts in the back.

Other Thoughts: I thought I ordered the Arc Mini R2, but accidentally ordered this instead. The matx mobo still fitted, though I had to stretch some of the wiring near the bottom to reach the mobo. I had the space so I didn't mind the larger case. I liked the fact I could fit 3x140mm fans as intake in the front and bottom instead of 3x120mm.

5 out of 5 eggsFractal Case Arc Midi

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The best parts about this case are as follows-

1. There are many places to mount fans. There are 3 fans included (noisy), but opted to use my own. Most of the air intakes are filtered, so if you configure your system right you can have virtually no dust coming inside.

2. Great cable management. My previous CM ELite case was terrible in that regard. There is lots of flexibility in routing your cables where ever you like.

3. Removable HDD cage. This can be taken out to allow for more airflow. I can't imagine anybody needing the second cage.

4. There is a fan controller included. I opted to use my own. The case fans are controlled by the new controller and the CPU fans by the motherboard. I did use the enclosed controller for the fan for the power supply.

5. USB 3.0 ports- there is one in the front of the case and 2 more in the rear. Plus the standard 2.0 ports.

6. Large case makes it easy to work inside routing cables and installing components. Plenty of room for cooling system as well.

7. Removable dust filters

8. **Cold** with proper thought the case and components remain very cool.

Cons: Minimalist design- This can be a pro or con. It was a pro in the beginning, but now I am bored.

Only two 5.25" drive bays. The optical drive goes in one, the fan control in the other. I have a silenced HDD which I would love to put in here which is just sitting in the case. Do you really need HDD cages with support for 10 drives?

Included fans are kinda junky. Most will opt to replace them.

Other Thoughts: Case is huge! I would argue that this is full tower design, not mid. I wanted a large case.

The design has changed slightly. Mine has 3 usb ports on top and two of those are USB 3.0. This one has a window on the side, mine does not.

My biggest quirk is that there are only two 5.25" bays. I think I overlooked this. I really cannot think of and genuine cons though. In hindsight I think I would have preferred to get a Carsair Obsidian case instead. There are more drive bays and I like the appearance better. However, all and all this is a 5 Star case!!! Don't overlook the measurements because this is a LARGE CASE even though it is "mid-tower."

5 out of 5 eggsNo issues

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Super flexible as far as fan and radiator mounting. It's like someone at Fractal actually has built a computer before. Panel fit is good, quality shows nothing to complain about (so I'm unsure if they're just hit-or-miss, if the other reviewers were perhaps stupid, or if overall quality has improved over time).

Cons: Front dust cover needs a gasket or something to prevent rattling. I've got a 240 radiator in the front, with a water pump directly coupled to it. There's enough vibration that occasionally I have to reach out and tap the filter to quiet it down. Not the end of the world, it just means I need a smater way of mounting my pump.

It'd be awfully nice if the front panel mounts allowed for a 280 radiator, too.
