5 out of 5 eggsStill ASRocking!

Pros: Supported all the way up to FX cpus. When I bought it 4 years ago, I wasn't planning on using it this long. Would have sold it by now, but its still useful. Its been rock solid. Handled 11 different cpus and 7 different video cards.

Cons: None. Was worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggs1st board t o end upgrading

Pros: This board has been golden since I bought years ago. It has shown a Sapphire 6850 video card to be bad and an Asus M5A88-v-evo motherboard to be bad. This board says upgrade is not necessary for online gaming people. Its being moved to HDTV duty with an amd 4650 video card.

Cons: No USB 3 capability. An addon card won't run at usb3 speeds. No bragging rights.

Other Thoughts: We entered a computer plateau in 2006 with the Phenom II cpus. There is no reason to upgrade and waste money. Bragging rights excepted.

5 out of 5 eggsGood all-round board

Pros: Cheap, does everything it should. I didn't have a problem with the case fan connectors, because all my fans are 4-pin molex anyway. Other posters had RAM issues. So far I know mine supports 3 chips totaling 6GB, since one of my new chips was DOA. I'm glad the PCIex16 was above the PCIex1, because I was able to fit my double-wide graphics card, but it might have been nice to be able to use that port.

Cons: The northbridge runs hot (55-70c) even with a new heatsink and fan and Arctic Ceramique. I wish it had support for 4 PATA drives, but I couldn't find anything that does anymore. Guess it's time to look for SATA drives.

Other Thoughts: This is a great board if you're like me, upgrading constantly for the sake of upgrading or just to get the best performance value for your buck. I got it because it supports PATA drives in addition to SATA, and am looking forward to the day I use its AM3 compatibility

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Installed easy, Bios & ASRock OC is very simple. if inadequate to use, GREAT PRICE! Runs very cool compared to my Asus mn78 mb. which cooked itself in 3 weeks.

Cons: Shipping caused 4 egg review. Also manual is pretty much useless. some pins & hookups were impossible to do. Luckily I didn't need them all.

Other Thoughts: ASRock 780fullhd mb.,4850 Powercooler video,550 watt psu, 22" HD monitor, 5 fans.WD hd.cd/dvd drive.

5 out of 5 eggsReally great mobo

Pros: Everything is where it should be, plenty of ports (see cons), the PCI-E 16x port is above the 1x so you can get some pretty big gpus in there, and the sata ports are situated so the card won't get in the way of them.

Cons: Only 2 3-pin fan connectors, no kitchen sink port.

Other Thoughts: I've got nothing to say about the onboard video because I had a radeon hd2600 laying around and stuck that in.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Great specs, ports in all the right places, no problem getting it going. I just connected everything, powered it on, and it booted right up. The onboard video can combine with another PCI-E card with the same chipset to provide Crossfire functionality...

Cons: Not the speed boost I expected but I kind of skimped on the proc (AthX2 4400+), kept my SATA1.5 hard drives, and also only bought one stick of RAM (going to get the second soon). The onboard video is not awesome even compared to the 6 year old ATI AGP card I already had but I am not a huge PC gamer so this was not much of an issue.

Other Thoughts: If you are thinking of going AM2, get this board. It provides compatibility and functionality with a lot of different mem and CPU types to provide for future upgrades. I got a Dual Core Brisbane and 1x2GB DDR2/800 to put into this one but it will accept less plus I can upgrade to a Quad w/ 1066Mhz RAM when I am ready.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good cheap AM2+ board

Pros: Inexpensive entry level AM2+ board which says it can handle AM3 chips (havent tested this) but works great with AMD Phenoms. 6 SATA parts in a covenient location, and 6 USB ports in the back of the board. The CPU mount and backing plate seem to be well constructed. I am happy with this board considering the money I spent.

Cons: Not much of a con, but if you are interested in overclocking, some of the settings aren't obvious. I have seen boards designed for overclocking and they make it real simple, on this board some of the options are buried. The ugly robot boot up screen can be disabled, but the option to disable it is buried as well. Overall though, I have no real cons to report.

Other Thoughts: I have always believed that a review of a product should take into consideration what you paid for it. It wouldnt be fair to complain about a board that costs $60 because it is missing features of boards that usually are twice as much. This is a fine board, made by a reputable company, that works very well with AMD Phenom chips. For under $200 I was able to get this board a Phenom X4 9600, 4 GB of GSkill 1066 RAM and a monster heat sink and this thing flies!

4 out of 5 eggsFine to my knowledge

Pros: hard to say on a motherboard... connects everything just fine?

Dual-channel works, lots of memory capacity

Came with everything

Cons: A lot of boards probably have this, but one corner flexes a little when installed.

Like any Micro ATX, little bit crowded, but definitely usable. I don't know of anyone who uses PCIe x1 slots, but large graphics cards will cover that (some motherboards have extra space, which just isn't available on micro ATX boards generally).

Partially the case's fault, but some headers were a little hard to figure out.

Other Thoughts: I haven't yet used every feature, but the 1st and 2nd RAM slots, CPU, PCIe x16, USB, audio output, PS/2 and ethernet all work.
