Pros: For the sale price its a steal. And you cannot go wrong with patriot!
Also I had some issues with Windows XP (Before SP1) trying to get it to work - make sure your using SP2 or higher.

5 out of 5 eggsIt was free with Windows 7 purchase...

Pros: It was free!

Cons: Doesn't fit a thing I own.

Other Thoughts: Included as required hardware with purchase of Windows 7, so it was free - thanks!

Sure would be nice to have a list of 'freebies' to select from so that we might be able to find something we could use. Either way - thanks!

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: inexpensive

Cons: unreliable, failed on day 39. Will attempt to contact manufacturer for replacement.

Other Thoughts: Expected better from Patriot. Memory was - great deal. However low cost may not be a good idea when you consider the time lost dealing with the manufacturer. Glad I have a different manufacturer for the other 2GB memory module so I can still use my computer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I'm sorry to hear that you had some issues with our memory. Please rest assured that all of our memory is hand-tested and backed by a lifetime warranty. Furthermore, I will be glad to initiate the warranty case for you.

Kind Regards,
Frank

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Installed and matched up with the previous 4 gigs I had in the machine already. Good solid ram, no issues at all. Have had this particular ram since February.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Running a total of 8 gigs of this ram in one machine, it's more than enough for what I do. Warcraft, music, movies, dvd burning. Runs several apps at a time no problem.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Fine

Pros: Have had absolutely no problems. Overclocked to 1333.

Cons: Price was a bit high at the time I bought.

Other Thoughts: I got what I needed at the time and am now adding more for my "upscale" budget PC. The price has dropped to 1/4 of what it was when I first bought it. Adding the same exact ram to keep it consistent.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap & Incompatible

Pros: Cheap, works if you can find a set that's matched

Cons: I bought one stick a few months ago then bought another stick a few weeks ago. They work fine as long as the two sticks are not paired together! The same part number but very different memory timings. The last stick does not even match the timing specs that are posted under the info section. Patriot support said sorry but since you didnt buy them as a set they are not guaranteed! Will update if they do come through and help after all

Other Thoughts: Do not plan on adding any more sticks after initial purchase! Buy all you need as a set now because they might change the timing without notice.

1 out of 5 eggsfails after a short time of use

Pros: cheep

Cons: after a few months of intense use started getting BSD's and all sorts of installation errors on new software. Ran memtest and had over 300 errors recorded in the first few moments of the test run!

Other Thoughts: buy better memory, the aggravation isn't worth it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please don't hesitate to contact support and a rep will be glad to assist you. If a replacement is necessary we'll be glad to expedite the RMA process for you.

Thank You for choosing Patriot Memory!
