1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Only pro is it seems to be easy to return/refund.

Cons: Straight out of the box - I ordered 3 - the first the D-Pad and lower right trigger didn't function/register well. The lower right trigger button acts like there is something logged behind it. I opened the second, and third - both D-Pads were junk. I read reviews that the D-Pads weren't good, but all 3 controllers' D-Pads only register 50% of the key presses, if you intend to use the D-Pads whatsoever, find a different one.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality

Pros: There's not much to say about it. It's a wired xbox 360 controller. It works flawlessly without any additional configuration on Windows 7, 8, and 10. It makes gaming on a PC with traditionally console games (like Skyrim and Saint Row) comfortable and enjoyable. The build quality is good. Microsoft knows how their gamers like to abuse devices. I bought the 3 year accidental protection anyway, but I've had one for a few years now that still works great despite travelling all over the world map with me. I bought this one to keep on my desktop at home.

Cons: I really can't think of any. If you like the Xbox style controller, then this is the one you want.

2 out of 5 eggsKeys Stick

Pros: Looks good and most functions are average.

Cons: The "B" and "X" buttons were sloppy and hard to activate right out of the box. Changing from standing, crouching, prone position was pretty much a matter of luck.

Other Thoughts: Possible that this is just a bad controller - overall the controller is easy to install and use, if the two buttons mentioned above had worked correctly it would have been a keeper.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat that it's standard

Pros: It's great to have a default for most PC games to hook into. The quality of construction from the console design is obvious. The thumb stick rubber, in particular, has lasted a very significant amount of time. Really does fit certain genres better than a keyboard. Just a good investment overall.

Cons: The D-pad could really use an upgrade. Annoying trying to set up sensitivity and control mapping in titles that don't have the support native. Can't change from the default setup, maybe two or three alternatives if you're lucky, depending on the game's support. Not especially portable for those who game on a small laptop, tablet, or convertible.

Other Thoughts: Many PC ports still can't figure out decent Keyboard and Mouse controls, even just in menus.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in Steam on Linux

Pros: Excellent controllers on PC. I use them on my Linux Mint HTPC, mostly for Steam games. Plug and play, no special drivers or anything necessary.

Cons: The D-pad can be a bit loose or mushy. If you're a diehard at platforming or fighting games you should already know to get a Logitech 510 or 710 for that instead, since those have much better D-pads. For everything else I find the 360 controller most comfortable and reliable.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes the sale price is ridiculously good. That's when you should stock up.

I wish there were more racing games as Linux, as those would be perfect on my big screen from the couch with a 360 gamepad. Streaming across the house from my Windows machine works for most games but not something as lag-sensitive as racing.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: * Just works with Windows 7 and Steam Big Picture
* Works in all games that I have tried it with recently (Lego games, Gauntlet, Skyrim, etc...)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Buy two! so you can play with another person. (it helps if your PC has front side USB ports)

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Controller

Pros: I have only had this controller a few days but from the time I have owned it, it's changed my game play completely for the better. its comfortable, the buttons work perfect when pressed. I was able to install the software from the provided dvd in less than a minute with ease, then plug in the controller to find it instantly works. over all I would surely recommend to anyone.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsRun!

Pros: It does come in a authentic microsoft package

Cons: has issues... It has caused my xbox 360 to not start up. unplug 360, unplug controller, plug 360 back in and turn on perfectly.

The left "nintendo pad" doesnt work very well at all...

Other Thoughts: Junk and I felt misleading because of the picture. Didnt want to complain, but now it has froze my 360 on startup a few time, 3 I'm thinking?

Pros: good response even after several months. no buttons sticking or anything. keep it clean and it will do it's job just fine.

Cons: no charging cord. batteries get eaten up pretty quick. 3-6 days charge if used continuously
