5 out of 5 eggsShould have purchased this years ago.

Pros: Very well made. (and heavy!)
Lots of switches

Cons: Huge, so those with not a lot of storage space may have a hard time finding a place for them.

Other Thoughts: Would highly recommend to anyone that plays any flight sim related games.
A must have with any VR headset and flight game.

5 out of 5 eggsIf you want to fly, THIS is your HOTAS!!

Pros: Excellent construction. quality metal materials used, highly customizable, and excellent configuration software! This is just a plain out fantastic set of flight hardware!

Cons: The only con I can come up with this HOTAS is that the stock stick centering spring tension is a tad stiff and can become a bit laborious to fly with over 'hours' of flight time. I am a lady pilot, and this stick does wear on my right shoulder after a few hours of intense aerial combat. Please note that I have not felt the need to modify the unit though, as I love the feel of it. I just 'work it out!' LOL

There are mods available to reduce the centering spring stiffness, if you feel this may be an issue for you.

Warhog gets no reduction in eggs for this...

Other Thoughts: We highly recommend picking up a set of rudder pedals to accompany this HOTAS setup (MFG Crosswind), as there is no cheesy twist rudder axis found with many others on the market.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid product and Superior support

Pros: Solid and built to last. This will be the last stick you will ever need to buy. IMHO

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I've been using this stick for about four years. After using it for a little over one year I noticed the the base screws had come lose and I had been gaming with this stick for some time I guess before I noticed it. I removed the bottom base and tightened the screws, but then noticed the stick has a catch in the movement. I figured no chance of a return after using if for over a year, I was really upset as this was not a cheap stick. I took it apart and found a rubber O-ring and a plastic part had worn almost in half. I emailed Thrustmaster and explained what happened and told them what part I needed and that I would be willing to pay for it. They asked for some pictures and I took a few and emailed them. They said I could mail them the stick and they would repair it, but I didn't want that much down time and felt confident I could replace the defective parts myself. They wasted no time after receiving the pictures, mailing my out the parts. They even sent some other parts with instructions on how to install them. They apologized for the lose screws that caused the parts to ware. They charged me nothing for the parts they sent. I made that repair about 3 years ago and the stick is still solid as a rock. I will be a customer for life.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I'm no Warthog flier in real life, but I bet this is as close a PC gamer will ever come to experiencing that feeling.

+ Very solid build
+ Stable base (due to weight)
+ Responsive
+ Comfortable, ergonomic Experience
+ Configurable tension
+ Tons of buttons to configure and play with
+ Appears pretty darn authentic to a real A10 (with the little research I did)
+ Standard joystick input/output so it works with most (or all) joystick-enabled games - even Tie Fighter!
+ All out fun to play with!

Cons: There's not a lot to gripe about, really, but I can think of a few minor things.

- Heavy (also a pro since it keeps it stable, but moving it around all the time and placing it on flimsy things is not advised)
- No Z-axis on the stick can make space sims a bit more difficult, but this could be bound on the throttle which has a few more axis to play with
- The price is high (but what do you expect with such an amazing piece of craftsmanship)

Other Thoughts: This is a 5 star stick to me despite my minor gripes mainly because most of the issues are easy to work around. The price is high, but as I stated, it's to be expected for such a good HOTAS. For me, that was fine because I had some cash to burn.

Other notes for game developers: I was able to work the both the stick and throttle into my engine using Direct Input with no problems. There are a lot of buttons and switches (which actually work like buttons to DI) making it a bit of work to figure out what is bound to what. If you are going to program for this HOTAS, remember it shows up as two joystick devices that must be utilized seperately, and I recommend using Windows' Game Controllers utility in Control Panel to figure out how switches and buttons are mapped.

1 out of 5 eggsDont waste your money

Pros: Great system for the first month . worked no problem

Cons: There is no customer support . after 4 months of normal use the stick is no longer recognizable by windows .

Other Thoughts: The joystick no longer works after 4 months and thrustmaster has yet to respond to multiple emails except for an auto response . If your lucky enough to get one that works ... well congrats

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent hardcore flight sim joystick

Pros: There are more than enough axes, hat switches, and buttons to control whatever game or simulator you are playing. The throttle moves smoothly, and the flightstick feels real (maybe too real!!) with the pressure. If you have carpal tunnel syndrome or weak arms, this is NOT for you! The Thrustmaster software is a nice add-on, but this particular piece of hardware uses standard USB HID input drivers. They really took the time to make sure the sensors are pinpoint accuate for the smallest adjustment; I have run Descent, X-Plane, and a couple other pieces of software with it. Works great on Linux too, for you tech junkies - the H.E.A.R.T. hall sensor picks up just as perfect as it does on Windows. Only thing that would make this combo better is included rudder pedals!!!

Cons: Stick has heavy resistance to force, so do make sure your arms are strong and your wrists don't have any serious medical issues. It is quite a workout as well as fun.

5 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for.

Pros: Owned many J-sticks over the years MS Sidewinder r.i.p. ...lol anyway this thing destroys everything I've ever touched. Accurate and smooth this thing is a dream. Expensive yes , but you get what you pay for!

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat needs said?

Pros: Finish
Attention to detail
crisp buttons
Massive amount of buttons

Cons: Price
This thing is very heavy, to some this may be a con.

Other Thoughts: Anyone who see this at my house is always amazed by the quality and finish of the warthog. The satisfying “Click” you get when trowing a toggle is just fantastic. Sold Thrustmaster gear back in the 90's, but this is in no way your fathers peripheral. Can't recommend enough

1 out of 5 eggsstick movement cheap plastic broke

Pros: very high quality construction and feel except for one critical part. I'll get into that in the cons. A lot of it is metal, very weighty, excellent overall, I wish it didn't break.

Cons: After a few months I noticed the stick wasn't staying centered as well as it used to, it got to the point I had to hold it or trim my planes to compensate, not a massive problem but annoying, especially in planes that have no aileron trim (DCS Fw-190). Then today while playing, I rolled hard left and I hear a snap sound come from the stick and suddenly the entire stick is completely loose and just flops around.

I opened the base to see what the problem was and the slotted ball where the stick control slots into for movement was made of plastic and had snapped along the corners of the slot. Seriously... why the hell is that part not metal?!? most everything else is... why not that one??? You know, one of the most stressed parts of the entire construction!!! I just can't describe how stupid and cheap that is, especially for the price and reputation this thing has. I tried fixing it to no avail, it wouldn't hold as tight as it was before and was still extremely loose, not playable to say the least.

I have a feeling this might have just been a defect and I would really love to have this stick where it didn't get loose then break like this, I loved the hell out of it for the first few months. I'm thinking it may have gotten loose because the part was already cracked or something and my sudden movement was too much for it and it finally gave, doesn't really matter now. It's a shame really, I was really excited with this stick, and now I'm just disappointed. Any other stick wouldn't have lost 4 eggs for this, but this is supposed to be the best of the best and I'm rating it as such.

Other Thoughts: great overall, but absolutely inexcusable that plastic comprises any of the frequently moving/stressed parts given the price-tag. In fact most of the metal parts are not moving parts at all and are just the casing. To be fair, the switches on the throttle are metal but that's about it for the moving parts, like a shiny car with a cheap engine. I would be willing to buy a replacement if they fixed this issue.
