4 out of 5 eggsMore Customization Than Expected

Pros: 50-8200 dpi adjustability over three presets and the "Sniper" button. At first, the program looks as though each preset is infinitely adjustable, but they're really adjustable in 50 dpi increments.
Nice texture, solid feel, looks great.
Haven't messed with the weights yet, but the ability to swap them out is a handy feature.
Light, yet defined clicks.
Adjustable lift height.
Ability to turn the ambient lighting on or off.

Cons: None really. I've read bad things about the software, but haven't had any issues with it. Downloaded and installed just fine.

Coming from a wider MS Sidewinder, it feels slightly cramped to me, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Lights up blue? (The rest of my rig has red lighting, the Sidewinder Mouse fit in perfectly.)

Other Thoughts: My old MS Sidewinder Laser Gaming Mouse (HKA-00001, similar to the X5) finally began to lose its left-click effectiveness after five years of use (including many click-happy rounds of Plants Vs Zombies). Considering that particular model is discontinued, and I wasn't keen on buying a used one, I decided to go with this Corsair M65. Has all the features I wanted without too many extra buttons that'd just get in my way.

Considering my Sidewinder mouse maxed out at 2000 dpi, this Corsair is a big step up in the speed department. With a flick of the wrist I can snap the mouse from corner to corner across two screens. That'll take some getting used to.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing!

Pros: can overclock very well. I thought the higher timings would effect the performance but I lowered the timeing overclocked the ram to 2800mhz and is very stable.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsBad-A$$ Mouse for Bad-A$$ Gamers

Pros: -Nice Configuration Interface
-Four Programmable DPI settings
-Sniper Mode
-Billet Aluminum Frame and Scroll Wheel
-Detachable Weights
-FPS Gamer's Dream

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Best mouse I ever owned bar none and I been heavy into computing for over 20 years, this one tops them all. Since games often don't seem to be in line with an OS, the M65 Vengeance makes it a breeze to go from work to fun at a click of a finger.

The Sniper Mode is amazing, the mouse itself is very comfortable and can be adapted to any type of gamer. I have removed the two front weights off mine and kept the rear one because playing was becoming a work out.

Takes getting used to but definitely is worth what I paid for it.

5 out of 5 eggsSick gaming mouse.

Pros: It's nice and heavy. I can tell a huge difference between my old plastic mouse and this one. Also, movements are extremely fluid.

Cons: None yet.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 12 hours.

Pros: Feels good in the hand
Nice scroll wheel position and motion
Sniper button

Cons: Died after 12 hours.

Other Thoughts: Got the product and installed the software. Updated firmware and proceeded to play Insurgency for 4 or 5 hours. Came back to my PC this morning to check some emails, and ZERO tracking from the mouse. Scroll wheel and buttons work... "hmmm" So I swap USB ports... Same deal... "hmm" so I clean the sensors on the bottom of the mouse... same deal... "hmm" so I reboot, plug mouse into completely different usb port... same deal... uninstall the engine and drivers from device managers ... same deal... Absolute trash.

As someone who owns 3 Corsair Cases, 3 Corsair PSU's, 2 Corsair Headsets, 128 gigs of Corsair Ram, 3 H100's... A bloody mouse failing after 12 hours has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I can assure you I will no longer be buying corsair. Absolute trash...

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Really solid mouse that feels really smooth to move. Soft-touch material on top is great and feels a lot better than some other mice I've had (notably a bad experience with a Razer Lachesis). Also love the somewhat rough texture on the sides, as it isn't irritating and helps maintain your grip.

Cons: Came with a deep scratch on the left mouse button that bothers me whenever my finger slides over it. The sniper and forward buttons are a little too far forward for my palm grip style. Corsair logo doesn't light up :(

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse for the price

Pros: -Good build quality

-High DPI setting with a great software

-Can record macros and custom settings for games.

-Comfortable Palm/claw grip, this mouse can do both depending on your hand size. I got smaller than average hands by the way.

Cons: -Maybe i didn't figure it out yet but, the software wont quit the actual mouse settings after closing a game. It triggers new settings only when you start an app so if you want customized settings to browse on windows, you have to set them back manually by hand each time.

(i wont remove a star because of this since I still think this mouse is great.)

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible mouse = Disappointment

Pros: The mouse is built with an aluminum base (plastic shell). The laser is very precise, and can be set very fast. Overall the mouse looked very good in theory.

Cons: In possibly one of the worst displays of poor quality, this mouse has stopped working after only a couple of weeks. It will work for five minutes, and then turn itself off completely. Nothing was able to fix it, and it turned out to be a MASSIVE waste of money.
If this is the kind of "quality" I can expect from corsair, then they can keep their mice. As for this one? Well, at least it made for a decent target during shooting practice.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, if you're going to boast about how "tough" your mouse is just because it's built on an aluminum base rather than plastic, you had better make sure that the mouse actually works...

2 out of 5 eggsGreat hardware, Terrible software

Pros: High quality construction

Excellent price to performance ratio

Cons: Horrible software

Firmware bricks M65.

Little to no help on corsair forums and complete lack of FAQ for this product.

Other Thoughts: I've used this mouse for a few months on two different systems (z87 and z97). I managed to upgrade the firmware the first time around after 2 hours of scrolling through forums. Second time around I wasn't as fortunate. The firmware bricked the mouse and now it's dead. I wasted hours trying to get it to work, when I couldn't been playing games. This is a very common problem with Corsair accessories. Do a google search and see for yourself. I recommend Razer products as the hardware quality and software can't be matched. I've never had a problem once over the years.

2 out of 5 eggsI cannot recommend any mouse from Corsair, unless you plan on replacing it in 2 years.

Pros: It works. The sniper button helps alot for having that knife shortcut in BF4. The software is alright, it does offer alot of features, like sensitivity reduction or increase when the sniper button is compressed.

Cons: I have this mouse for 2 years and 2 months. So far. The first M60 was replaced when the sniper button stopped functioning. This was a year ago. They sent me a RMA M65 as a replacement.

Now. A year later. The middle click is not working correctly. I have tried blowing into it and that does help, but it does not stay functioning long after.

I have talked to reps at Corsair and they have a policy about refunding or replacing their products outside of the 2 year warranty. So I am stuck with a mouse that does not have a functioning middle click.

Other Thoughts: Even without the middle click. Gaming is still fun with it. Although. I use the same mouse for 3D apps like Max and Maya for work. The middle click is very important to navigate in these packages. So now, I am disappointed with Corsair mice. I have other Corsair products like a PSU that has never caused problems.

So I won't recommend that anybody use Corsair mice. Unless you plan on replacing it after the 2 year warranty.
