3 out of 5 eggsNice light, eats battiers, may or maynot function as advertised.

Pros: Nicely made, zoom works well, bright even light. Got it for $10 after coupon.
Update: 3rd and 4th one work as advertised.

Cons: Mine only works as a normal flashlight. On or off, there aren't any multiple settings as it said in the product description. Not really worth the effort to send it back as it works well otherwise. Supposedly a half press of the on/off button is supposed to switch modes... not on mine anyway. I only tried a AA battery, maybe a Li-ion battery will work better??? Doesn't have a very long run time, starts to go into strobe mode when low.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad compact flashlight for the $10 I paid, a little bit disappointed that the multiple modes don't work. Nice zoom. Seems to be very sturdy. I MIGHT even buy another one IF I could get it at the same price. But at $15-$20 I would be truly ticked off if the other modes didn't work.
Update: does work better w/ 3.7v battery. Purchased 3 more of these 2 worked properly, other one was just on or off (which is ok for me)

2 out of 5 eggsNot too good

Pros: +Cheap
+Feels tough
+Mostly works

Cons: -Flickers often and randomly.. turning it off and on repeatedly will fix flickering until the next time.
-Not nearly as bright as I was expecting for 450 lumens (was previously using a roughly 200lumen flashlight for work and this is not a significant improvement)
-Shape of beam is a square (though this is occassionaly helpful, it usually isnt)

Other Thoughts: Overall disappointed. I thought it was going to be better. it's still working after a year and i'm still using it despite being disappointed (im too lazy to buy a new one). Generally speaking with Rosewill, you get what you pay for, budget products at a budget price. They do make some very very well performing products for the price some of which I have, but this is not one of them, look elsewhere.

2 out of 5 eggsWarranty

Pros: Bright at full power, sufficient at lower powers. I like the option of using either rechargeable 14500 or AA batteries. Feels well-made.

Cons: It lasted about 2 weeks of useage, first with an AA battery and then with a 14500 battery. After a total on time of less then an hour, it died.

Flashing & morse code options are a waste of button pushes!

Other Thoughts: Newegg warrants the flashlight for 30 days, but says that it has a 1 year warranty directly from the manufacturer. Rosewill does warrant the unit for a year -- if purchased through Rosewill, but any RMA goes through Newegg. Definitely not clear.

5 out of 5 eggsLED Flashligh

Pros: Don't know what people are complaining about, but it does take 3 AAA's. I use the NiMH high capacity and don't have any problems with battery life or lumen's.

Cons: Can't think of any - for the price, you can't buy a brighter, lighter and compact light for the money.

Pros: Great Flashlight. Good zoom capability.

Cons: The only con I have is the strap broke. The piece that attaches to the flashlight came apart from the plastic button piece..

3 out of 5 eggsWorks Great ONLY if you use a 14500 battery. AA isn't enough to power the LED

Pros: Great Construction. The metal contact for the battery switch is nice
High mode, Low mode, Strobe, SOS

Cons: Only catch is you have to use a 14500 battery. AA won't work at all.

I popped in brand new Energizer AA, Toysrus brand, and NiMH rechargeable. None worked.

Only works with the 14500 battery.

I'll live with it though since I have a couple 14500's anyways since this is my 5th cree flashlight, and I bought this on a whim to try out.

Newegg, if you want me to email you guys a video of my flashlight to show you whats going on with it just let me know when trying a 14500 vs the AA. I can probably post it to youtube privately so you guys can review it.

5 out of 5 eggsimpressive, good zoomig spot light

Pros: Just a great, small pocket sized flash light, with a good zoom (wide light to spot).

Small, light weight, easy to zoom, surprisingly powerful light.

I like this better than 2 others I recently bought that are larger, and cost 2x-3x as much. I plan to buy another one of these Rosewill flashlights as a spare.

Really good spot focus:
For a small lip stick sized light, this thing put out a light I could clearly see on a cliff face more than 100 yards away, which is better than I expected.

Cons: I haven't seen any problems so far.

I've been using this on a "night shoot" film set for 2 weeks now and has become my favorite flashlight for night work.

Other Thoughts: I plan to buy 2 more if this goes on sale again.

I (almost) can't believe how good this is compared to similar "tactical" ones which cost twice to 3 times a much

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Looked and felt like a quality flashlight.

Cons: Unfortunately the soft switch for selecting intensity, strobe and SOS only lasted 37 days.... just beyond the Newegg return policy....Probably not worth the hassle and shipping costs to bother with the manufacturer....

Other Thoughts: Kinda hard to recommend given the circumstances unless you only expect a product to last just over a month....

4 out of 5 eggsNice one

Pros: Bright white light, nice rounded spot.

At first, I wasn't understand why the light was flashing. Of course, it's a LED, so if the output is not enough, it will not lower the intensity but simply stop it. So if this flashlight's flashing, just change the battery

Cons: -Consume energy fast.
-Become very hot after 5 min of constant using.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I like it, it's a good bedroom flashlight, but I would consider something else in camping or wood trip.

4 out of 5 eggsgood little light

Pros: bright, small

Cons: the SOS is not Morse, but some bastardization of blinkenlights. i can't figure a use for the strobe either, as I wouldn't strap this to a bicycle
