Rating + 5 Nice work NEWEGG!

Pros: Excellent, I upgraded from a GeForce FX 5200 :( to this modern graphics card. i am impressed that I didn't have to break my bank to upgrade. Im holding on to AGP for as long as possible. Woot! to newegg for another great buy.

Cons: none

Pros: The X 1300 has been in my computer for about a year. I would recomend this card to anyone needing shader model 3.0. It has always functioned for me. It will run vista and it will run games that do not require
DX 10. If you need a budget card to get by on this one is dependable at standard settings.

Cons: Do not adjust setting above standard ! It is not good. Also as of Dec. 2007 this card is at the end of it's use for gameing. It is power hungry and crashes if updated "sometimes".

Other Thoughts: Overall not bad, just install and use as is. Don't try to get fancy with this card.(it gave me the blue screen of death a few times at random.)

Rating + 4 Would be perfect low-end, but the price...

Pros: Great card for those who need to run Vista, The Sims2, or Flight Simulator and only have an AGP slot.

Cons: The current price does not match up to what you get.

Other Thoughts: As of this writing an AGP HD 2000 series card is $120 here on newegg. So I would either just jump to the latest generation or go with a higher X1000 series.

Pros: A great mid-low end card. Has served me well for almost 2 years. It will play HL2 well on med-high settings with a modest resolution.

Cons: Pretty outdated by now. Don't expect to run modern games well at all. Card is pretty much maxed out. Don't expect to overclock very much.

Other Thoughts: P4 3ghz, 1.5gb ram dual channel, 80gb hdd, winxp-sp2

Rating + 3 Decent Card

Pros: This was not a bad card. It served me well when my gaming needs weren't too great. Plays NFS Carbon at low/med settings fairly well, Half-Life 2 at med/high settings with fairly good FPS.

Cons: It just isn't fast enough for today's demanding titles unless you don't mind playing without all the eye-candy.

Other Thoughts: I'd reccomend this card for the average user for sure. It gets a 4.2 for gaming in Vista and 5.9 for Areo .. so if you are just the occasional gamer, it's not a bad choce. However, I'd reccomend going with one of the newer mainstream cards for those who take games more seriously.

Rating + 5 Good Card

Pros: Good card. Runs oblivion on medium settings with minimal lag.
(plus my 1GB RAM probably helps)

Cons: Can be rather loud at times. Like another review said, it sounds almost like a small vacuum.

Other Thoughts: First card I got died after a month. ATI sent me a new one no problem.

Rating + 4 It served me well...

Pros: Back in June 2006 I got this card for my birthday. I wanted it because I wanted to play BF2. Well, it didn't run it that great :P It ran most games fine though, some on High Settings too. It gave me loads of fun, and on some game loads of lag.

Cons: Didn't run many game well even on low, but I should have known that.

Other Thoughts: I had a AMD ATHLON XP 2400+, 1GB PATRIOT RAM, and an ATI X1300PRO.

Rating + 1 Not worth the bling...

Pros: Pretty fan! :)

Cons: Where to begin....
(1) Horribly out of date drivers
(2) Impossible to configure the resolution in digital OR analog.
(3) Incompetent tech support (ATI)

Other Thoughts: Please be advised -- at the time of this review, this card will NOT work write on a screen with an native resolution greater than 1280x1024. If you are still humming along with that resolution, then this will suit you fine....but I could not get my new Samsung 204bw (1680x1050) to work right with this card. The best ATI would tell me is -- wait until the next update!!

You know something is horribly wrong when your *on board* graphics (GeForce 6150) will work with 1680x1050...and your PCI-E card add on won't!

Totally unacceptable. I sent it back, bought a 8600GT (Nvidia)....which should be here tomorrow.

Newegg should seriously drop the price...because this card is not worth what they are charging in August '07. For twenty smacks more, you can get an 8600GT, which should totally blow this card away. Heck, for the money the 7600 is SUCH a better card.

Right now, NVidia is kicking ATI's rear end...and you'd be really dumb to get on the ATI bandwagon right about now.

Rating + 4 Not good for Dual monitors

Pros: Good card, simple installation yet out of date drivers by the time I got it.

Cons: I have owned the X700 lower model of this card for several years and it has great features however you will find that it's dual monitor support does not hold a candle to what Nvidia has to offer. In addition the drivers do not work correctly in WinXP 64bit. Prepare for disaster when attempting to install if 64bit.
In short, If you are a 64bit or dual monitor fan, I recommend Nvidia cards.

Pros: Decent price for a video card.

Cons: This card will not work with many Dell Dimension PCs. I sent mine back to ATI to have them fix the issue with no post after installation. After being gone for three weeks, got the card back and it still didn't work. Returned for an nVidia 7600GT.

Other Thoughts: Appears to be a nice video card for a good price, but check compatibility if you own a Dell.

Rating + 3 Great card, but only works correctly the first week

Pros: When it works, if works great.

Cons: While I play Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast (on occasion, not all the time) and sometimes Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Usual problems is lockups, the NPCs standing still and/or turning silver.

Other Thoughts: I think it's heating problems, I put my hand close to the card and feels hot. It could also be because mine is in an Micro-ATX case, but I have a rear exhaust fan and a slot fan, along with a 2 year old CPU fan and heatsink.

Rating + 2 CRASH CITY!

Pros: Performs as advertised for games like Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne and Command and Conquer: Generals It is a significant improvement over my IGP S3 K8N800

Cons: UNTILL IT STARTED CRASHING!!! Only on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade and seeminly at random. Read a review that said not to link it to the power chain that's connected to the HDD so I used the adapter to link it through my laser drive power chain. Worked for a day then started crashing again. Fired my system once and had to disassemble the whole thing and rebuild it to make it work again. Kept using the VGC and it kept crashing and fired again but didn't take my system with it but now corrupted. Gonna collect on warrenty... maybe just a bad seed.

Other Thoughts: eMachines Model #W3105 with an extra 512DDR400 and a 480W power supply replacement. Now on my IGP again and DLed the latest drivers... works a bit better than it did before I go the card... If this VGC can't be fixed I'm getting a X16?? series.

Pros: I disagree with BorgTorg down there, I got much better performance out of mine, and a pretty high overclock (641/495). I played F.E.A.R. at mostly high settings at 1280 x 1024, 4x AA.

Cons: Fan's loud.

Other Thoughts: Used in a system with 1.6Ghz Sempron, Gigabyte K8-Triton, 1Gb RAM, Diamond Xtreme Sound

Rating + 4 Good card

Pros: This card does its job. If you want to just play games like fear, far cry, or oblivion at reasonable frames and at acceptable quality (not high) at anything at or below 800x600. Good quality card, the color and the component layout is of good quality, and fan looks pretty sick. Card is quiet. Also it comes with plenty of adapters that you will happen to use if you have a media center, which is what I recommend this card for.

Cons: Not worth Overclocking, #1 if you overclock above 615Mhz on coreclock you will artifact, and if you overclock above 410mhz (820mhz effective) the same. Unlike previous gens you cannot gain significant ratings.

Other Thoughts: Very surprisingly, it will run last gen games like doom 3, guild wars, Half-life 2 and wow at full res up to 1280x1024@60hz between 26-50fps with 2x spatial temporal antiailiasing (basically 4x) and hq 16x anisostropic filtering, with little or no sacrifice in performance. Also note there is a
jumper that you can switch between nstc and pal.

Rating + 5 Great Card

Pros: Runs every game I have played without a hitch. It is one of the most powerful "Low-end" cards you can buy. If you're a budget gamer, I would recommend this card to you.

Cons: I have it overclocked and it runs at about 70 degrees, which is ok for overclocking, but the fan can get LOUD. At 100% speed, it sounds like a vacuum in your computer.

Other Thoughts: I've had it for about 5 months without any problems. It has the molex splitter so you can hook it up into your HDD without wasting a cord, but I wouldn't recommend it, as my card crashed quite often with this setup.

Rating + 5 ATI WINS

Pros: If you have a problem reading, don't buy this card!! It is simple to install and is well designed.

Cons: If you don't understand the airflow of your system, you will have overheating issues. This is the one downfall to all manufactured PC's. I installed this in a Dell Deminsion, fortunately I design PC's for a living and I was able to change the air to compensate for the heat.

Other Thoughts: PLEASE make sure you are carful with updating drivers and redirect the air in your system in order to keep from thinking this card is bad. ALSO, check your clock speed settings for AGP in the BIOS/CMOS if you don't, you may only be running in 4x mode and will probably hate the card.

Pros: Great graphics, easy installation

Cons: Does not work with common Dell systems(ex. Dell Optiplex) without modification. ATI customer service took 6 weeks to get modification done. 2 months later, the card blew for now reason. Will now be sending back for warrenty service.

Other Thoughts: Do not expect ATI customer service to be helpful if you run into difficulty with this card.

Pros: i upgraded from a ati radeon 9600 pro and it didn't even come close to th ati radeon x1300pro. i can now play oblivion on high settings. there are no ridge lines in the game. it's amazing.

Cons: installation wasn't too clear. driver that comes with wasn't too good. just download the updates from ati and it's fine. no other cons.

Other Thoughts: runs hot (like usual ati's) but it's a small price to pay for great graphics at a cheap price.

Pros: I upgraded from a NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX/MX 400... so it's REALLY GOOD! Easy installation****! Drivers are great (don't listen to these people who say they are worthless)! They are BETTER than NVIDIA's. BF2 Medium to High Setting depending on how much RAM.

Cons: All my games can run on full settings with good fps... but if you want to run Battlefield 2 on high settings your going to want at least 1 gig of RAM.

Other Thoughts: ****Easy installation... well yes... but I had to get a new power supply because I only had a 160W. This graphics card requires at least 350W

Pros: Works well on my old AMD 4x/2x AGP linux system.

Cons: DOES NOT work on Dell 4550's!

Other Thoughts: The card worked well on my old AMD linux machine (4x/2x AGP). But I got no post on my Dell 4550 (4x/2x AGP). After much research, it turns out that ATI recognizes that the x1300's and x1600's just don't work on Dell 4550's. As of yet, neither Dell nor ATI can figure out a solution to this problem. Rating + 2 Signal loss issues. (Screen blanks)

Pros: Great when it works. Good price.

Cons: I've got signal loss issues. The longer I use the card the more frequent it becomes. Starts out with the screen "blanking", for a second, once every 30 minutes. After a couple hours of constant use, it's once every 3 minutes. No errors, just blank screens - no reboots required. Going through tech support right now. They just "audited" my system. I'm suprised at how slow this tech support process is.

Other Thoughts: This is the second ati card to have have problems. First was my 9800 Pro, when the fan broke off. Now this. Kind of getting fed up with this company.

Pros: Good looking card

Cons: Card sucks..Horrible.. WIll BARELY play Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. This card is rated as a low end-mid range type of card. Comparisons are done against 128Meg cards. Card overheats after 10-15 of heavy induced graphic gameplay. Wont even run with high res settings. P4 3Ghz, 1G/Ram.

Other Thoughts: Keep your money and buy a RADEON X800 GTO with DDR3. Same price and twice the card.

good perfomance

Cons: fairly large card
Fan(louder than heatsink)

Other Thoughts: I bought this card from fries b/c i was tired of having problems installing 9600 x64 drivers. For yall who dont know that is a mess. I saw this card and it said it was made for x64 drivers. I plopped it in and had no problem. I wasn't used to having no problems on x64 drivers. Oblivion sets its defaults at high. You can tweak the default resolution even higher w/o a loss of performance. IT hasnt given me one problem yet. So i recommend this card for any needing good graphics for a fairly low price and those who are fed up with screwing around with x64 drivers

Pros: I had no problems installing to my motherboard. My powersupply already had a cord that fitted the little plug--So I didn't have to use the divereter.
Was easy to plug my monitor into the back of the card, the nice little adapater makes dual-monitor support. S-Video plug is a little touch, but hell you have HDTV out... What else do you need? :p
I've so far I've only played GTA: SA & Sims 2 on high settings..
Software installation was a little confusing when all the dialogs cleared off the screen I was unforsure if it was still i nstalling or not, I had to watch task manager to make sure there was still something there..

Very nice card, I would definately recommend it to anyone who is looking for an nice AGP card and is willing to spend about $xxx.

Cons: Not an AIW (but I didn't really need one). Good card for sure, I can already see improvements in graphics. It's currently runing at 8x (I think?).

Some major lag after installation, easily fixed by going into Devie Manager and playing with 'Update Driver' (I've had this problem before with ATi card for some odd reason.

Earned a 4 star because of the major lag issue.

Other Thoughts: Pretty good card, I'm not complaining. I didn't know if GDDR2 would run on my system but it did. Just makes ure you got the AGP 4x/8x interface. On Newegg it said recommended 256MB of System Memory, when reading thru some documentation it read as 500MB for best performence. (I have 2GB so it's not prob..)

Pros: This card plays games well but where it shines is the new video transcoding feature. ATI claims 80% speed increase... ITS TRUE!! If you've spent hours transcoding video forget about using your CPU the GPU goes much faster.

Cons: Not as many pixel pipelines as the card this replaced but Ive not noticed.

Other Thoughts: Great value

Rating + 5 So Sweet!!

Pros: Absolutely increasable I am running 1280x1024 on BF2 with everything set to the max!!!! It runs flawlessly, in fact I have my AGP bus running at 82mhz (stock AGP is 66 MHz) and this card give me absolutely no problems, I would push it farther but I have maxed out the NVIDIA overclocking utility settings. I take #1 or #2 spot on every server I play on.

Cons: NONE!!!!!

Other Thoughts: If you are thinking of getting a new video card this one was worth every dollar!!

One man driver team

Rating + 2 Run Away

Pros: The quality and game play is great and smooth.

Cons: Well from my experience ATI has the worst driver support around. This card has been announced that it will not have Linux drivers till spring of 06!! Wish I knew before I bought it, but that’s my fault. However, there windows drivers are a mess also. See other thoughts!!

Other Thoughts: Hope that you have a windows disk with SP2 rolled up. If you ever have to re-install the drivers requires SP2. While updating my computer Froze x10 times until I could finally install the video driver. Once it was installed however, my problem only got worst. The driver conflicts with a memory location that is in use by windows . This causes flickering at start since it is trying to write to a memory location already in use. ATI = RUN AWAY!!

Rating + 5 Good card for the money

Pros: Easy to install, ATI quality and support, reliable, stable, good clock speeds.

Cons: A little pricey for AGP, takes a separate power input and at least 300W power supply.

Other Thoughts: I recently upgrade from a 128MB ATI Radeon 9600 XT to this 256MB Radeon X1300 PRO. So far this card has been an excellent addition to my system.

Rating + 3 Ummmm no.....

Pros: Good price for a midrange or low end gamer.....

Cons: I have an geforce fx 5700 ultra 128mb with ddr3 and this card is at least a year old and still performs almost as good as this card. I think if you are buying and AGP card go all out cause the technology is dieing.

Other Thoughts: I took this card back. I had a 512mb version of this card and still returned it. If you want a great agp card buy the 6800gs or 7800gs I got the 7800 and am loving it to much.

Rating + 5 Nice Card for the Price

Pros: Great card for the cost

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I wanted a nice card for under xxx bucks and I'm very happy with this. I'm one of those stupid people that figure if you buying a card with the ATI chipset you should just the ATI version. I'm playing FEAR and Doom 3 on my system and both play very well with this card.
