Pros: I do not actually own this card, but have learned a good amount on its capabilities so figured I would write a review. The only pros I can find for this card is that it is the second best PCI interface video card on the market, with the best being the HIS X1550 which is basically this with a core clock of 550MHz and effective memory clock of 800MHz. Another plus to this thing is it can fit in any machine, granted it was made in the past 10 years. Also very good for its low profile and it does handle quite well with video playback.

Cons: The memory interface is listed as 128-bit when it is in fact only 64-bit, as VisionTek's website informs people. The price is the worst part about this card. It is one hundred bucks and the cheapest PCI Express x16 card Newegg currently has to offer (ironically enough a Radeon X1300) is only twenty dollars, and will be about 75% faster than this PCI version. Assuming that someone buying this has a dell (since they just love to exclude AGP and PCIe slots in their older models like the dimension 3000) one could sell their old motherboard, ram and processor in a bundle for about fifty bucks and get new processor, ram, motherboard and that twenty dollar X1300 and pay as much as they would have for this thing. With that said, Avoid this if you can.

Other Thoughts: I love people that put their tech level at "high" and say things like this card is great, and should get another one to crossfire. Kudos fats 02. VisionTek also sells an X1550 version of this card, but I would steer clear. Their website has no mention of core clock or memory clock, and the pictures and other specifications are exactly the same, which leads me to suspect that the only thing different is the name. I have asked their technical support what the core clock and memory clock was for their X1550, and have yet to hear an answer. Best thing to go for is the HIS X1550. At least they are up on their specifications.

Rating + 4 works

Pros: Immaculate packaging, shipped in ample foam padding in a large box.
Followed the short instructions included and had it installed and working in 15 minutes.
Much better than on-board video.

Cons: The installation disc includes a HUGE LOAD OF STUPID JUNK. Just select CUSTOM installation and UN-SELECT all the nonessential applications. (The necessary drivers are shaded and can't be un-selected.)

Other Thoughts: I got this card for online gaming. (Mainly EVE-online) This makes my wimpy little power supply work, but it brought my fps from 2-10 up to 20-30. I am sure I could get better performance if I knew how to adjust my system settings. If you are stuck with old PCI and need a functional video card, this one works.

Rating + 5 AWESOME UPGRADE FOR PCI

Pros: Stuck this card in a Dell Dimension E310 with 2GB Buffalo RAM and I can blast BF2 no prob on med/high settings 800x600 which isn't bad at all, more than good enough for him! Only got the memory to OC to 283.5 MHz with AtiTool. Clock went a lot higher but I left it at 533.5 MHz since there aren't a lot of fans in the case.

Cons: Can't get the memory up too high on this Dell box, but no biggy, the 14 MHz that I did doesn't really make a difference anyway when you get down to it, so it's not really a con, still 5 eggs baby.

Other Thoughts: Super easy install, does work with these Dell machines no prob. Smooth and playable in BF2. Haven't tried any other games.

Pros: it looks like a awesome card on the outside that is until...

Cons: well lets see wouldnt take its own drivers nor the updated drivers on visiontek or ATIs site.i did however get it to take some older ati driver. but then when i would boot to windows would show windows loading but nothing after monitor would go on standby and then sometimes it would restart my pc by its self!

Other Thoughts: unless you like having hardware problems look for another card.

Rating + 5 <+>Best PCI Card Out<+>

Pros: Great buy for PCI!!
If you have a PCI slot --> go ahead and buy this card.

Cons: Just one question.... it said 500+MHz Memory and 450MHzVPU on the box right... but it said in the control panel "CoreClock 452MHz and MemoryClock 270MHz"?? Might just meen u have to overclock it not sure but it caught me by surprise.

Other Thoughts: I run 1.8~ AMD 3800+ 2x512 of Ram
with this card i eat source and thats what I wanted it for so... Good Deal. PS. The shine on the guns are Amazing. Big upgrade from my ATI S9250 which is directX 8 The X1300 is a directX9 so do the math.

Rating + 4 Good Card, not for Vista

Pros: PCI port, plus runs alot of games on very satisfying settings. With XP you can't go wrong if you only have pci slots. Can run halo near max settings and Doom 3 at very high settings. Oblivion has difficulty running on this card.

Cons: I installed this into a vista machine expecting it to boost the performance, but to my surprise it ran worst than integrated graphics *6150SE w/ 128mb dedicated 512mb shared*

Other Thoughts: do not get this if you have a pcie or agp port, there are better cards out there. and if you only have a pci port and are looking to upgrade to vista you may want to consider putting out the extra money to get a new motherboard and processor, or just go with a retail computer.

Rating + 5 Great

Pros: Average playable fps for modern games. (Doom 3 platform, Counter Strike Source, etc). Increased overall video performance as well. Best PCI card on the market. Hands down.

Cons: PCI. Updated driver on ATI's website is garbage. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. It made all my games error out. I could not even start some games. I had to revert back to the original driver supplied with my video card. Works like a dream now. Also pricey for other comparable slot options.

Other Thoughts: If this is your only option for graphics expandability, then this is the choice for you! In my E-machine trash all I have is one PCI slot. This cars soups up my graphics frames rates tremendously compared to my on board. Stress test in CS-S gave me 28.3 FPS. Definitely pleasurably playable! I can't wait to install BF-2. If serious gaming is your cup of tea, then you might want to save the money for a new mobo, and pci-e x16 card. I love this card though, it was the cheapest and best option for me.

Rating + 5 Best For What It Is...

Pros: If you're stuck with PCI... this is the card. If you need a half-height card, this will fit the bill after you remove the VGA jack and install a half-height bracket. DX9, Runs XP Media Center like a champ. Hardware MPEG2 decoder.

Cons: It's PCI... so the GPU can't really perform to it's best potential. Really expensive for what you're getting but I guess if you're a nutjob like me and try to upgrade old machines... you asked for it.

Other Thoughts: I'm currently working on a pet project upgrading a Gateway Essential 633. It's small form factor has presented many problems. This was the best card I could get for this machine. I ordered the Powercolor LC9BA-6 bracket and it works like a charm. This clunker machine is soon to become my bedroom DVR/DVD Player.

Rating + 5 The Best PCI Card

Pros: A really 128-bit PCI card. X1550 may have the higher number, but they are both the best PCI card. It is a big gap between my old FX5500 and this one.

For Counter-Strike: Source in my Dell Dimension 3000 with 1GB DDR RAM:
- 2xMSAA & Anisotropic 8X & everything else max in 1280x1024 (LCD) => 19.38 fps.
- Same in 1024x768 => 30.63 fps.
- Everything is lower 1 level => 47.97 fps.
Personally, I'm happy with that.

It also looks nice and colorful.

Cons: High price of course. I can buy a wonderful PCI-Express card with $100.00.

Be careful, there is another smaller version of this card which is made for special kind of computer. It has only DVI gate on it.

Other Thoughts: You don't have any other choice beside X1550 and this card for PCI. Sometimes, it's good. If you're not a real gamer and you have only PCI slot, then everything you need to do is to buy this one. $100.00 is high, but still nothing compare to upgrading the whole system.

Highly recommend to people who want to play normal game but not gamer. Remember to buy good RAM, too.

Pros: Plays games well for a PCI card. Easy Installation.

Cons: Very Expensive. You can buy a 8000 series NVIDIA or a 2000 series ATI for less than this card. Should get AGP or PCI-E if you can.

Other Thoughts: Performs rather well, can get 30+ FPS in F.E.A.R. Can play Fable, Halo, Delta Force. Plays Extremely well in UT 2004 (30+ FPS) @ 1280x1024 ALL MAX SETTINGS.

Rating + 5 PCI Upgrade

Pros: No problems with install. Included drivers worked great and the Catalyst options are endless! WOW! Control almost every graphic aspect you can think of. Drivers are always being updated by ATI.

Cons: Price kinda high being PCI and all. LONG wait for the install to complete. Out the box bent bracket. Easy fix. CD was scratched (used no doubt) but worked fine.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for an old HP Pavillion 7850 along with some extra RAM. My main reason for this purchase was so my daughter can play some games that are 3-D. Onboard graphics cant handle 3-D at all. Now she can play just about any game I buy for her. I saved a ton of cash by upgrading and not having to buy a new computer for her. Thanks Newegg!

Rating + 1 PCI-to-PCIe bridge issue

Pros: High hope for a WDDM card that run Aero-Glass on Vista.
But, only hopes.

Cons: To retrofit the PCIe bus of the x1300 chip to a PCI bus, they places a PXE 8111 bridge chip, that is not recognized by Vista.
This causes your video card to be not even listed in device manager

Other Thoughts: Don't buy the PCI version

Rating + 5 Great card for the money but....there's some things to know!

Pros: Great quality card if you're only able to use a PCI bus typed card in your machine due to mother board limitations. The card works great on games including The Sims 2. Keep in mind I'm using an Intel Pentium 4 2.80 Ghz Processor and 2 GB of RAM (2x 1GB). It's a Dell Dimension 2400 that I'm using this card in.

Cons: For some strange reason, the video card isn't fully loaded before the POST-TEST screen shows up (THE DELL LOGO SCREEN). It makes the DELL logo screen look like it's in 4 or 8 bit color. It sucked pretty bad. The card does get hot easily and the hotter it gets, the slower the system runs. Didn't like how the drivers worked either.

Other Thoughts: Great card but do your research before you buy to avoid having to do an RMA on it. I did an RMA and had no problem with NewEgg in doing so but better off doing reasearch before buying it.

Rating + 5 The best PCI card out there.

Pros: This is the best PCI card out there. 128 bit interface, 256 MB video RAM, x1300 chipset. For anyone thinking of buying the x1550, don't, unless it's cheaper. The x1550 is a renamed x1300, it's just a con to get people to buy more. The higher numbers make people think it's better, but they're exactly the same. I bought this to play Black and White 2, works great on medium settings.

Cons: Well, it's a PCI slot for starters, not the bandwidth of newer slots, like AGP, which can carry almost 20x the bandwidth of PCI, or PCI-E, which is almost 80x(!!!) better bandwidth.

Other Thoughts: Please do NOT check your 12v rails for PCI graphics card. I can not stress this enough. If it has ONE notch on the little golden pins, that means it takes power from the 3V RAIL. NOT THE 12V. If it has TWO notches, it takes it from the 5V RAIL. NOT THE 12V. This PCI card has TWO notches, okay? The power is drawn from the 5V RAIL.

Cons: None that are worth noteing.

Pros: supports Vista Aero interface, full DirectX 9.0c support, low profile, HDTV output, Avivo video acceleration

Cons: PCI interface, 64-bit memory bus, installation problems with some PCs--a few Dell models have been reported & confirmed at the VisionTek forums

Other Thoughts: A low profile version with half-height bracket is available for those who need it. VisionTek has released a X1550 PCI with slightly higher clocks, which is based on the same RV515 core.

Rating + 5 This IS a Vista card

Pros: Easy to install. Was able to run BF2 pretty well when I had XP installed. It gets the job done.

It will also run Vista Aero/Dreamscene pretty well.....PROVIDED that the rest of your hardware is up to snuff. This card rates a 3.0 for me in Vista and is the lowest score of my hardware. My PC specs...
Dell B110
P4 3.4 Ghz
2GB Corsair HyperX (PC3200)
Rosewill SATA controller
Seagate 400GB 3.0 SATA driver

Yes, I know, the B110 was never intended to be turned into this, but I can't help tinkering with my PC :). So, it is possible to get a dog up to snuff with Vista.

Cons: Like most cons you'll see on it, it is PCI. Don't expect to see BF2/other games to run like you see it in Best Buy. It won't. But, it will run it very well if you turn the settings down to medium.

Other Thoughts: When you first start loading Vista with this card, an ATI x1300 driver automatically gets loaded for the vid card. This driver works BETTER than visiontek's newest one(3/14/07). After installing Visiontek driver package, Aero got choppy and Dreamscene was awful. I rerated my card and it went down to 2.0!!! I did a rollback of the driver and it went back to 3.0 and running well, yippee! So, until Visiontek gets their driver's down, go with Microsoft's preloaded driver.

Rating + 1 Not worth it

Pros: Absolutely none.

Cons: Where do I start? First this card was supposed to be about 25% faster than a Geforce Fx 5500 but it actually turned out to be way slower. On my old, old computer that only had pci slots my 5500 would average 125-150 fps constant on high texture settings and at 800x600 on cod2 but this card average under 50 fps on lowest textures and resolution.

Other Thoughts: Don't be cheap and just continue to try and upgrade your machine with outdated parts. Just get a new one with pci-e slots and you'll be much happier.

Rating + 5 Plug it in and it works on Dell 3000 - Improved BF2

Pros: Delivered as expected by Newegg. Took out of box removed old put in this one and after driver install, worked right away, no issues. No bracket issues as referenced on other versions. Worked fine on Dell 3000 with 1GB memory and PCI only. Still less expensive than other good video cards on the PCI-E side. Was able to move up BF2 settings to medium / 100% and no lagging or glitching. Need to try higher settings.

Cons: It's PCI, but I wasn't up for another new machine (This is one of 2 older machines left after buying 2 E510 Dells (PCI-E at least) for the teenagers), squeezing the most I can from this one.

Would be nice if install had driver only option, don't really need the application to extend desktop. Install was slow...

Other Thoughts: My forum research found that if you are stuck with PCI, this card is the fastest of the lot. This particular card had no mounting issues as apparently some other manf. did.
GLAD I MADE THE SELECTION.
Worked great on BF2, too bad it can't keep me from walking into Claymores. :-(

Pros: Does really well for a PCI card. Most likely the best PCI card on the market.

Cons: Must have enough memory to support it. Twice as expensive as the PCI-E version.

Pros: This is the best/most modern PCI video card I could find. It works great in XP and Flawlessly in Vista with Aero. Impressive performance for a PCI card and not too steep of a price. Also DX9

Rating + 5 My pci based comp is doing this?O_o

Pros: ... well let's see. For someone not able to afford a new comp.. who has of late realized how dated his 5500 nvidia was and how limited his machine was... this card is like a godsend. I never expected a newer pci based card like this. I keep on hearing this isn't for gaming. That depends on what you expect. I've been limping along for so long this just makes my eyes drop out of their sockets. Ran Medieval 2 TW on mostly high. I didn't expect this much out of it. Thought it would be a small jump but it's like night and day for me.

Cons: Well it's not pci-e or agp. If you can afford something better do it. I unfortunately can't. Though for those of us who are strapped for money this is a great deal and will give that old horse of a comp a few more miles till the new technology becomes cheap enough to buy.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this for anyone who isn't able to afford much better. It's not going to make your old pc perfect but it will make that machine do things you never thought possible for it. Still it is only about medium level for last year's games. This too will eventually get old. Just realize your getting pci and things will be fine.

Pros: Relatively easy install (though be prepared to alter BIOS), great specs that actually improved performance on my machine (upgrade from integrated graphics)

Cons: Not the cheapest card on the market, but it is a niche product so that's life - still good bang for the buck against everything that is PCI only

Rating + 4 Very Good Card

Pros: The Card was very easy to install, contrary to what others have stated. Compared to what's on the market if you're stuck with plain old PCI...this is the way to go! It's a huge improvemnt over my Nvidia GeForce FX 5200.

Cons: You're not going to get the full benefits of PCI express, since this is using old technology. It's a great improvement, but still not the "best" out there.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good product and will allow the average gamer like myself the ability to play all of the new releases.

Pros: somewhat surprisingly, this card runs all of my games on decent settings (1680x1050 on Battlefront II, BF2, HL2, etc. on medium settings); best available upgrade if you only have a PCI slot; lifetime warranty; ATi has X1300 drivers for Vista that work well

Cons: price, but it's a niche product so it's generally worth it; runs Vista Aero but not fast enough for me

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from onboard graphics to an FX5200 (fan failed and card melted) and then to this and while all the upgrades to my old eMachines T1742 (graphics card, RAM, CPU, HDD) were worth it, I wish I would have saved my money and gotten a more upgradeable and capable motherboard instead.

Rating + 2 DVI Problems

Pros: VGA outputs ok

Cons: Stay clear - this card has serious driver issues on windows-based PCs with certain popular motherboards. The VGA port will work, but do a quick google and you'll discover a long-lasting issue with connecting monitors via the DVI port. ATI seems unwilling to address or resolve the issue. After 2 days of researching the problem, I'm resigned to buying a new card.

Other Thoughts: In retrospect, I wish I had just upgrading my motherboard and got a non-PCI based video card

Rating + 3 Mixed feelings.

Pros: Arrived quickly and installed very easily. Runs most modern games on low-medium settings. Haven't done extensive testing, but it satisfies my needs for now.

Cons: Does not run Oblivion smoothly, except on lowest settings (in which case, it looks horrible). After first installing it, my screen would turn black once every few minutes for a few seconds. Lowering refresh rate to 60hz seems to have fixed it.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a PCI 6200 128mb, and the performance increase is marginal at best (maybe 10-15%). It does however seem to be more stable, and has better support for playing videos.

Rating + 5 Great card for PCI machines

Pros: Great speed. Only used to onboard integrated graphics cards before this. Trying to make sure I can run vista home premium on my HP 752n when it's released at the end of the month. Can't believe the clarity of my display now!

Cons: It was harder to install than I thought it would be. I had to disable the onboard graphics card from Device manager and the BIOS. Once I did that everything worked fine.

Other Thoughts: If you're stuck with a four year old machine with just PCI expansion slots, then this is the card for you.

Pros: Awesome FPS in games. Maxes out PCI Bus. Avivo is awesome.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you have a 9250 or lower Or a 5500 or lower, YOU WILL LOVE THIS CARD! I had second thoughts but I assure you its worth it.

Rating + 5 great

Pros: best ive had so far for my pci only machine and ive have 5500's and 9250's. runs all games on med and bf2 looks great. copper fan housing keep it cool.installation was a breeze.

Cons: little pricey but i got it alot cheaper when google and buy had a sale thing.

Other Thoughts: ive been stuck with a pci machine for a while now and ive gotten more and more into gaming and have souped up my machine the best i can. if your really into gaming and stuck with pci only this would be the way to go but i think you should take it to the next level and just a buy a pcix16 machine like i will soon.

Rating + 2 Not all the PCI buses are the same

Pros: Probably a good card - I didn't have a chance to feel it

Cons: The card couldn't work with my version of PCI (2.1), and there were no warnings about that in the documentation, on the VisionTek website, or anywhere else. I've returned it

Other Thoughts: This PCI incompatibility is a problem for ALL the video cards on the market now - I couldn't find any card with S-Video output, compatible with PCI 2.1. Almost all the suppliers (not just VisionTek) completely ignore this incompatibility issue

Rating + 4 Lower than expected, but great card

Pros: Best card out there for people who are stuck with PCI. Runs FEAR 800x600 at mid settings with decent fps. (Around 60ish) Also runs Oblivion at lowest resolution with playable fps. (Occational lags)

Cons: Its a PCI. Not for gaming. Sorta. People who are hardcore gamers probably want to upgrade their whole rig if they still have a PCI slot.

Other Thoughts: To the guy who is two spaces below me: I have the same problem. I tried running PSU at low-est settings but the game slows down to a crawl at times. It seems that the card has some problems running "polygonal characters". Also it has problems with "open spaces" (fields w/ lots of terrains, etc.) Well it is just a PCI..

Rating + 4 Little small problem...

Pros: Its alot better than a Radeon 9250, very low power consumption. Great card for PCI but...

Cons: I seem to have a problem with this card when it has to do with polygonal characters in game, the frame rate drops heavily...even worse than my radeon 9250. Also It cant run Guild Wars and or any games Windowed but then my radeon 9250 could run fine...

Other Thoughts: If there's any fix on the above CON then please help, my pc is a Dell Dimension 3000 2.8 GHZ Intel P4, 1GB Kingston RAM. Any help is apreciated.

Rating + 4 Problem solved.

Pros: Solved a CAD program problem I was having on a PCI only Dell. It was recommended by an experienced gamer and seems to work well. I would do it all again. The on-board card was overworked trying to display rendered 3D objects,

Cons: Installation was a little confusing. The card went right in but the software said to disable the previous card then install the new drivers. That gives a blank screen. I had to load the drivers then boot in safe mode then diable the old drivers.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the paper manual and the CD manual would have agreed.

Rating + 4 Pretty good card

Pros: Signficant jump in WEI index for Vista RC2 from GeForce 5200. Maximizes PCI (limited) potential, uses Shader Model 3.0

Cons: It's PCI-and my system only supports PCI...hence limited bandwidth. Not for gaming.

Other Thoughts: If your mobo only supports PCI graphics cards, then this is the best thing available (albeit with a high price tag). If you want to run Vista on your old clunker, then this video card will ease your worries.

Pros: I bought this car a little over a month ago. Its a good card but the 4x pipelines pull down the memory and speed of the card so it doesn't really matter how high a PCI card's memory or speed it has the 4x pipelines restricts it, but I could play FEAR with it on 800x600 with medium settings. But sometimes I have trouble with keeping my FPS over 70 when it comes to Unrealtournament99 which is a pretty old game =\, and ive saw that people have been saying it overclocks well, it actually overheats kinda easy so its not that good when it comes to overclocking. And i think i saw somebody say you can unlock pipelines or something.. you cant, but for the type of card it is i guess its really good in PCI interface =P

Rating + 5 Visiontek 256mb x1300 PCI

Pros: 1)IT PCI AND IT PLAYS BATTLEFIELD 2 ON MEDIUM SETTINGS WITH A DECENT FRAMERATE!
2)
450 MHZ VPU
500+ MHZ 256MB DDR-2 Memory(highly overclockable card from what I have read)

3)Utilizing the DVI port, the digital clearity is definetly noticable over VGA(Analog)

4) THE BEST PCI CARD ON THE MARKET

5) Just over a 100 bucks? Come guys... it may be PCI, but if thats all you have thats NOT ALOT OF MONEY!!

Cons: - Doesn't come with S-CABLE FOR THE HDTV CAPABILITY

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to this card from a radeon 9250 pro 256mb PCI card. TALK ABOUT BLOWING THAT CARD OUT OF THE WATER!! GREAT CARD BY VISIONTEK

A must buy for people who want to upgrade their old dinosours to the best that they can be for not alot of money.

Pros: Almost the best you can get for PCI, small, DVI and VGA, AVIVO and SM3.0, overclocks well

Cons: Price, 64-bit memory interface (half of the Diamond PCI X1300), odd screen-related problems, difficult installation

Other Thoughts: Installation was difficult at first because WinXP didn't 'see' the PCI-PCIe bridge chip without a driver install first, so it didn't display anything until I used a another card to do it. It has only a 64-bit memory interface because its PCB was too small to fit more memory chips on it, according to the VisionTek forums. It overclocks quite well (580/364 with the stock cooler). I recommend the Diamond PCI X1300 card though, it's cheaper, twice the memory bandwidth, but also bigger. The VisionTek is really small (half the width of the PCI backplate). Plays Source-based games without hiccups at 1024x768 with 2xAA/4xAF, without HDR.

Pros: This is a great card for its price. I had a 9250 for a few years and just upgraded and this one is 1000 times better. i can run BF2 and BF2142 no problem on medium settings, with the 9250 i couldn't even start battlefield up. If you have a PCI bus i would highly recommend this card.

Cons: none so far, all my GPUs i have bought have been from ATI and have not had a problem with one.

Other Thoughts: I have heared of people having problems with catalist, but i had no problems. comes with the disk to install the drivers and everything, took me about 10 minutes to install it all.

Pros: Worked grate out of the box, as it should. Baught this card to hold me over until I get my new C2D system built. I have been running an FX 5500 on a 2.6 cele Dell 2400, and I tell you this ATI card, for a PCI bus type is twice as fast as my old card!! I am able to run Oblivion with medium to high settings with playable fps! I am very pleased! And Newegg is the best online retailer that I have had the pleasure of doing business with! Thanks Newegg for the supper fast shipping!! (o:

Cons: None as of yet.

Other Thoughts: If all you have to work with is PCI then I would highly recommend this gpu! I haven’t tried it any other game, but if it will run Oblivion, I bet it would run anything!

Pros: this card is pretty fast for being a pci card... supposedly it can oc to 525? pretty good.. quiet fan.. cant even hear it.. runs my games more than what i even wanted.. before i couldnt play cs source.. now i can with amazing settings in my opinion.. price is high but is prob worth it

Cons: for PCI what more could you really expect.. the bandwidth is no where near that of pci express or agp.. i expect them to be a ton better but for pci this is prob as good as u could ever hope for..

Other Thoughts: for me is plays cs source 1280*1024(lcd) all high without any aa,af or hdr with 30-40 fps with oc..
celeron d 2.93ghz
1024mb ram
not very good comp but this card helps it chug along

Pros: SHipped out quickly & easy to install. People with dinosuar PCI slots (like me), this is as good as it gets. You can spend more money if it makes you feel better but if you need more out of your CPU it is time to upgrade.

Cons: Made me realize i need another 512mb ram which also will max out my old HP521n.

Other Thoughts: now that my PCU is completely maxed and runs perfectly well, I await my tax refund so that I too can have dual core processors & play Oblivian.

Pros: Pundit R350 + 2.13 Celeron + 1,5 GB PC3200 RAM (all default tests):

X1300 PCI:
3dMark03 ~ 1800 points
3dMark2000 ~ 4900 points

9100 IGP (onboard 256MB/128MB designated):
3dMark03 ~ 660 points
3dMark2000 ~ 3700 points

Cons: Kind of big (long)

Other Thoughts: You can overclack it around 20% with WinClk5.22 and get more fps. It seems that's not all (445MHz/265Mhz) what PCI can do !?!

Pros: TO NEWEGG, DOES SUPPORT VIVO!

This is the best PCI video card that is available, and will ever be available. It maxes out the bandwith of the PCI bus, so you cant get any better.

Cons: pricey for a X1300, but VisionTek had to design the bus, because the native bus is PCI-e
